I have had the crema version a couple of times before. It was a bit cheaper than this but I have ordered some more because it was pretty decent stuff.

I have never had any problems using them in my Delonghi bean to cup. I drink mine black and my wife drinks her's as a latte.

Do they have a roasted on date?
    tommytbone1's avatar
These sort of brands, and ones sold in supermarkets, tend to just use best before dates so retailer can sell for longer.
I have a theory that it shows 2 years from roast date, but not certain on this (edited)

I have only even used amazon solomio beans in my melitta bean to cup machine. Are these suitable for the machine? Don't know the difference between crema and espresso

Absolutely fine mate. Beans is beans, as long as they're just plain, roasted beans. For what it's worth, I subscribe to Solimo, but got a batch of these when they were last on offer for use in my Jura bean to cup. I'll be doing the same again. Me and the Mrs drink our coffee in milk (Latte's, Cappuccino, etc.), so can get away with harsher, 'budget' beans. If you find the Solimo palatable you'll be fine on these, they're a slight upgrade IMO. If you drink black/want a better quality bean, then I'd recommend trying some of the different beans someone like Rave Coffee has to offer. We used to subscribe to them and got some lovely coffee's, but paying 3 or 4 times more to drown it in milk don't make sense

This is all we drink now. Have to say it's absolutely beautiful. So smooth.

Can echo others here... This is ridiculously cheap so you're thinking 'you get what you pay for'.... Not with these beans. Very nice coffee which impresses over beans 2,3x the price even when they're on offer.

How old are they when they arrive on average? BBE is usually 2 years after roast date

Also does Amazon let you return 3 bags if they turn out tosh? (edited)

Can vouch for these. I only drink black coffee and these make a lovely smooth drink through my bean to cup. Recommend anyone to give them a go

Strange fishy smell. Terrible black but with milk and sugar perfectly servicable

Why does the description say ‘instant coffee’ when these appear to be coffee beans?
    windym's avatar
It is confusing. It says instant but also that it is beans. It can't be both.

Bought last time. Great value, tastes great. Couple of the bags were split at the seal but still happy.

Still have not finished yet, which bought at £15 last year.

The Melange is really nice, pretty consistent and not bitter.

Ordered price seems abit too good expecting them to not be great. Normally buy my coffee from Rave so lets see what these are like
    mgk's avatar
You will prob be unhappy if you buy from Rave

However, just ordered - haven't tried before but the Esspresso one is very nice
  21. tommytbone1's avatar
Those who rate this, would you pay £12 a bag for it? (The price showing for a single bag)
    god's avatar
Why would I do that when it's just over 20 for 4 bags lol
  22. Whitefiver's avatar
I beg to differ, it is a single pack that contains 4x1kg bags. (I had one delivered yesterday, cost £30+, but worth it!). Lovely coffee, adequately strong, NOT acid. Like others, we have moved to this from Lavazza.

Great price thanks op. Struggling to find anything under £10/kg at the moment so this is a great deal!
  24. theshabster's avatar
Anyone tried both this and the Melange version?
  25. FooFighter's avatar
I've been having this and the espresso version for a while. Very nice and now my go to for cheaper bean in my bean to cup machine.

I've stopped with the espresso version and now just get this as it tastes nicer and easier on the insides!

I do think the beans have a slightly strange smell in the bag but unnoticeable once brewed!

    Thanks!!
  27. tommytbone1's avatar
Came out at £15.42 for me. Never ordered this before so maybe an extra discount was added
  28. yacoboy's avatar
Which grinder are people using with this?
  29. eset12345's avatar
Not a fan of the crema, the melange and espresso are good enough though

Better quality than supermarkets at this price point
  30. Chris_Muriel's avatar
Couldn't see a roast date on my Espresso from the same source . Ordered and received those in August 2022 and BBE date is 07/24.
Work well for doppio or longo in my De Longhi Autentica.
