Nothing is free in this world.

This game really is a one and done sort of game. I love the Halo Franchise and completed this game as soon as it came out expecting much more to come but a year on the campaign and the massive map is abandoned.

343 really did do Halo dirty. Destiny 2 sort of shows us what Halo could have become had it remained Bungies hands. (edited)

Yeh man massive let down this game. Had high hopes for it but greed got in the way as usual.

I personally loved the campaign, despite there being very little variety to the map aesthetics but the grappling hook elevated it to another level. Finished on Legendary which is the one way a Halo game should be played.

Totally agree. Felt like a finely tuned game, especially aesthetics wise, gorgeous to look at. Everything was smooth and it rolled back the years to a Halo 1, 2 and 3 vibe. Too easy on legendary though, they should have went in like they did on two. If you are an advocate of the original trilogy I cant see how you would be disappointed with this campaign.

The price is about right for what amounts to half the game we expected (edited)

It was like a third of one game and a third of a different game.

So much wasted potential. One of the big giveaways is the second island isn't part of the open world. There's no way you include that if there weren't originally plans for it to be twice the size

There was a lot to like in it, particularly exploring with the grappling hook and calling in vehicles to rampage with a squad but the point at which the campaign goes fully linear is so ridiculously early, I didn't realise that's where I was until well after I'd started the mission.
