Introducing the first full-metal addition to the continually evolving 2100 line of timepieces that inherit the legacy of the first-ever G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C.
The full-metal construction with a screw-back case, bezel, and band crafted in stainless steel creates a streamlined, minimalist design, while protecting the module from impact when dropped.
We take it way back with the octagonal bezel and dimpled band design of the original from 1983, all done in metal. High-density mounting keeps the analogue-digital combination module slim, while still providing the advanced functions you love in a compact profile and comfortable fit.
The GM-B2100D-1AER pairs with a smartphone via Bluetooth®. Simply tap into the dedicated app for precision timekeeping that keeps you on track.
With Tough Solar, a high-brightness LED light and a range of other convenient functions, this is a timepiece that delivers on style and practical utility.

Saw this and went to Nuneaton to see it in person. D C Leake is a nice little shop with helpful staff. I bought one and they sized it in the shop - Really nice watch - Made in Japan - very well put together - I am currently wearing it. My only comment is the dial is dark, very stealth - so readability in some lights could be better. However the little light illuminates things nicely. Other thing which even annoyed the shop is the tin fits the Watch perfectly but the outer box is not big enough to get the instructions and warranty card in - they were moaning about this seems to be a G shock packaging design issue sorted however with a little bag and rubber band. So if you fuss about packaging be warned. However nice watch and at that price would recommend

Mineral glass will not shatter like a sapphire on impact so maybe not that bad, my concern is how difficult it would be to see the time in dim lighting, just cant see the point of a device thats only role is to display the time and it fails at that role.

Good deal but i actually prefer the after market AP strap and case you can get. I feel like with the moonswatch being such a big hit its now seen acceptable to rip off the AP aslong as it has a casio in it

I recently bought a B400 G-Shock on display clearance which has almost identical functionality to this with similar small negative lcd displays - they are very difficult to read except in bright lighting.
(See the last two pictures in this listing)
Also, the bluetooth is a little sperfluous as it doesn't do steps, notifications etc and being quartz it's accurate without syncing to phone.

On the watch thread - there's a hamilton khaki king auto for about £50 more. I know which one i'm choosing

I would agree, but not that one - the 13-24 inner numerals make it look like a 'learning to tell the time' infant school watch.

Bit pricey for me, I'm hoping for around the 300 mark. Prefer the black, but will buy them all at some point.

Lack of multiband 6 is disappointing, but I've come to terms with it now!

Waiting on titanium for these. Steel far too heavy.
