For once, an Amazon Deal Of The Day is outdone! Amazon currently have this with 5 blade refills for £10.40 / £9.88 S&S. amazon.co.uk/dp/…1BN

But Wilkinson Sword have this with 30 refills for £17.41 + Free Shipping at the moment. Code WS91-72FP-OPF3 (sourced on a coupon site) worked for me and takes the total to £13.93! (UK Mainland address - screenshot of the total at Checkout, below) - in "Fuss Free Sustainable Packaging"

(Bear in mind there are three options:
Razor + 10 Blades is £12.72 - with code WS91-72FP-OPF3 = £10.18
Razor + 20 Blades is £15.40 - with code WS91-72FP-OPF3 = £12.32)

4110737_1.jpg4110737_1.jpgThe Wilkinson Sword Classic Double Edge Safety Razor combines elegant design with exceptional performance and value. Double edge blade technology increases the life of each blade, providing exceptional performance. A PTE coating on each blade reduces friction, creating a smooth shave and reducing redness and irritation. Simple design allows easy replacement of blades, and facilitates a smooth, effortless shave.

  • Double edge blade technology.
  • PTFE coating reduces friction during the shave.
  • Simple handle design.
  • Excellent value for money.
  • Easy to use and great for trimming
  • Value for money in the long run with cost effective blades
  • Butterfly opening and locking mechanism
  • Blades 42mm

I'd already compiled a few Amazon screenshots, and they're more informative than Wilkinson Sword's - so I'll keep them here!

Excellent price for a good razor but I am not impressed with the blades. I prefer to use Kai, RK and Feather. Obviously, everyone's experience will vary as a lot depends on technique, hair and skin type. This is a good set for beginners but I would still urge to get a variety pack of blades to figure out what works for you. Please do not start with Feather . Unfortunately, some of the world's best blades (Astra, Voskhod, etc) are made in Russia, so are in short supply / expensive right now for obvious reasons. (edited)

Of course this is the joy of using an 'old school' razor. You can shop around for blades.
I rotate around gillette Wilkinson astra feather and others.
Plus little or no plastic waste and recyclable blades

Wilko has a pack of 10 Wilkinson Sword "Barber Style Classic" DE Razors for £4.50 wilko.com/wil…815

    As does Amazon: £4.50 One-time purchase / £4.28 Subscribe & Save amazon.co.uk/Wil…NLP

Though two go-tos for my partner were Yellow 7 O'Clock DE blades or Astra Superior Platinum DE blades (green pack). (edited)

The (Amazon) Solimo DE razor with 100 blades is around the same price, and will probably get mentioned, so here it is: amzn.eu/d/g…czT
49868516-Bh6KX.jpgEdit: According to Amazon Q&As, the (Amazon) Solimo handle is made by Baili (I actually have the rose gold butterly handle at home!) 49868516-lU3q6.jpgNo clues on Amazon which razors these may be, though donnie_arko on ATG Shaving reckons they may be Personna Tomy (were made in Israel, now Germany - says produced in Germany on the Amazon packaging, apparently) atgshaving.com/thr…22/

Anyone got this and King G Gillette? Which is better?

Funnily enough, I just read this on the Amazon listing!49874811-KpAeI.jpgThe Wilkinson Sword is a butterfly (twist to open), the King C (where you slot in the razor), isn't.

I find it funny they changed the newer Gillette version's name to King C, rather than King Camp, suppose the connotations nowadays are different

Shave Help says "brass and zamak with chrome plating", yet Amazon and shavingemporium say stainless steel. Confusing!

    Eg, Amazon's title:
49868498-GK3fv.jpgI'll remove "premium stainless steel" from the title and read around further in the morning (in bed now!)

like most on here it's a decent price for a razor that you can make your own but wasn't that impressed with the blades, I picked up others and it made the shave that bit better. No plastic waste, cheaper blade replacement and for me no more razor rash or ingrown hairs the next day so all round win win. The Gillette DE razor is also usually on sale, it's not a butterfly mechanism but for me slightly better weighted at current prices why not buy both and use them for what they are and enjoy shaving again. They will last a lifetime and save you a fortune while actually improving your shave (edited)

These are the ones my partner swore by (until he got lazy and went with an electric razor!). Don't think he's ever tried these Wilkinson Sword DE razors.

Another DE razor blade option, BUT these are minimum purchase 5 at the moment (!)

Previously posted by me in May 2021 at the same price (unbelievably, one item that hasn't skyrocketed - though the minimum purchase limit is a pain!).
    bozo007 didn't like them, YMMV.

49872588-sJYft.jpgMight be worth group buying if you have a few mates into DE shaving - if you use and like these.

A few others, no minimum purchase, mercifully!:

Dorco Platinum Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades, Pack of 100, Red - £5.99

(made into a Deal post by me back in May 2021! - these seem to have more favourable feedback, overall - I know most people hate Derby Greens, though!)

Talking of Dorco, I seem to have purchased this somewhere down the line and I can't remember - unless I've given them out as Xmas presents?

(Ah, wait, looking at the order invoice/s it was for the Dorco EVE lady razor - seems to come under this listing - maybe that went OOS ages ago)

Comes with 100 Dorco Prime Platinum Blades + Butterfly DE Razor.

£9.99 (5 in stock) Amazon, sold by Razors By Dorco amazon.co.uk/gp/…mbc
49876120-1i4fl.jpg49876120-UD1qf.jpgWondering if Dorco have done a switcheroo with this listing, as reviews seem to be about the Dorco EVE.

Been using it for a year or so and although there is a learning curve at first you end up saving so much. Quality is great and for the price you'd pay for disposable ones anyways it's no brainer. £12 for 100 blades same brand online there after. For that price you could have a fresh blade every time.
