Horribly slow cashback (28 working days = almost 6 weeks) and it shows up as a paper cheque. But it works.

Is there a way I can get my existing mobile Number with Vodafone over to this ? Maybe doing a pac to a payg or 30 day rolling and then get a pac again to this ??

When I called them they were able to do it by changing my contract SIM to payg and then I used the 'keep my number ' form to transfer the number over to the new SIM! !

I've decided to do it (renew similar deal I took out last year via HUKD). Been happy with the network service where I use and the rewards.

Only thing that made it not too bad when I did the same thing with e2save, was that it was pretty simple to put claim in online (few mins each time), all 5 cheques were sent out in a timely manner and banks letting you pay in cheques via their apps.

Need this last option the way they are closing down branches round our way (edited)

Would advise people to not port using Mobiles.co.uk but to fill in the port form from Vodafone after purchasing.

New sim has arrived two days ago, VF confirmed sim isn’t linked to any Vodafone Account. My number and contact details aren’t found on their systems and told me to go back to Mobiles.co.uk.

Likely they’ve choose a porting date in the future, sim saying no service. Believe they haven’t even activated a contract is my suspicion.

Mobiles.co.uk keep saying to wait 24 hours, asked for details such as a Vodafone account number or the temporary number but they wouldn’t give this or escalate to VF. Staff seem to be outsourced who haven’t got a clue how this works.

Some forum posts suggests it could take upto 6 days, especially with this long bank holiday as well!

Usually never had this issue porting directly with the operator. Sorry about long rant but be aware when purchasing from these lot! (edited)

No one in their right mind chooses Vodafone. I'm getting 1 bar reception frequently in some areas on my work phone. It's making work hell at the moment as I need to be fully mobile for my job.

Vodafone has been the best for me between O2 and Three for the last 3 years now around the Sheffield area. 5G in a lot of places.

And yet again, I sign up for the (ever so slightly) more expensive package thinking it's better to have the 100GB, even though I never seem to go over 10GB/month.

    Thanks for posting. (edited)

£30 cashback on Quidco. Does that work with this deal?
    MrSwitch's avatar
    MrSwitch Author
Nope! Doesn't specifically say £30 for "upgrades" so be wary, this is a little more guaranteed than Quidco cashback in my opinion of course.

Currently with Vodafone & my contract is up in May. Unfortunately not going to stick with them as a nightmare of issues.

VoLTE doesn't work correctly for me, so have to have it permanently turned off. The Vodafone mobile app when installed on my phone actually disables my data network, so can't actually use my phone. I uninstall the app & all works fine again. Network speed is generally 2-8mb down in my area.

Do you get data and voice roaming in Europe?
    bozo007's avatar

£2 extra for every day it is utilised. The MVNO crowd is still offering it free.

Still on my good old Talkmobile £9.95 100GB deal with EU roaming deal… guessing it’s still a good deal compared to this?
    uthypranks_TV's avatar
    uthypranks_TV
this is obviously better if you get all the cashback done, but your deal is still very good with no annoying cashback. Also talkmobile probably has limited bandwidth compared to having a SIM straight from vodafone themselves.

Can I go from VOXI to this??

Also this doesnt have roaming right (edited)

i believe u need to order a sim only rather than upgrade, someone correct me if im wrong... but Voxi its dealt here as a different provider providing Vodafone coverage, and yes- no eu roaming included- but that's only 8 quid a week, so still massive saving vs plans with roaming inc (edited)

You might need to contact them to get the together discount back if you have it but other then that no issues

@MrSwitch At the end of the one year contract, are we supposed to give 30 day notice to Vodafone or mobiles.co.uk? I dont want to get stuck in a contract.

    TIA (edited)

Vodafone. Mobiles.co.uk sell the contract. They don’t administer it.
