The longer you use the more you become dependant as your natural production drops.

That’s not how tear film problems work.

Hylo forte is also basically the same thing as this . I get them free on prescription from my GP every month. Used to pay about £12 a bottle for this one from my optician then found out I could get the hylo one on prescription

Good price I just paid £18.50 for this double pack. Recently been told to use this. Took a while to get use to applying. Basically I look up at ceiling one or two drops into corner of eye near nose blink a few times and feel it goes in my eyeballs. I’ve found using this helps a lot with dry eyes

Have you tried pulling your lower lid down, by pulling down on your cheek, to make a pocket, then drop into the pocket, much easier than directly onto the surface of the eye

Other than printer ink is this the most expensive liquid in the world? Over £1K a litre, and that's with the offer.

Prefer the VizHyal brand from Visualize myself, usually £4.99 at Amazon.

They are fiddly in a different way to Hycosan but at half the price I'll take that any time.

I find these difficult to use - the one drop per click idea is great but I can’t hold it steady enough, as it ‘clicks’ my hand moves………..

Just buy a cheap eye spray and decant these into it. I find it much easier to use the spray and aim upwards towards tear duct. Also eye drops are impractical on the daily commute.

I use these and they are very good but bought some from Amazon and they had been used and mold grew in them and caused an eye problem. Your opticians can recommend them to your doctor and get on prescription free in Scotland.

If you have Dry Eyes, see your GP who can refer you to a specialist if needed. Either way, the NHS prescription charge is £9.65 or roughly the same each month for a 12 month Prescription pre- payment certificate for as many items as needed. A wide variety of these drops and lubricating agents are available on prescription, as many items as required. (edited)
