About this item
  • Micronised for Easier Mixing, Uptake and Consumption
  • Unflavoured - add it to your pre or intra-workout for a creatine boost
  • Creatine is a granular amino acid that does not completely dissolve in cold water
  • Why is there a hole in the IHS (heat seal) liner of the closure? On some of our 100mm closures and almost all of the 120mm closures, it is standard to find a small pin[1]prick size hole in the heat seal liners. This hole is added during the manufacturing process of the closure. The reason for this is it allows for a very small amount of ventilation in the final product

This has sucralose in which was in the news last week for causing DNA damage.

Go for unflavoured and add a bit of juice and water.

Crystal brand is a good price, Google it.

Creatine can damage the kidney etc but everyone is different. You don't want to be mixing it with lots of alcohol in my opinion.

As for the person suggesting you will get the same gains without creatine, preworkouts and bcaas, you may eventually. But I didn't want to wait that long. However these are as far as I'd go.

Steroids have too many known side effects for me to even look at them. But plenty of people who will probably have a heart attack have a different opinion!

'As for the person suggesting you will get the same gains without creatine, preworkouts and bcaas, you may eventually. But I didn't want to wait that long.'

Pre-workouts and BCAAS are near useless and a complete waste of money. Both are a well known joke in lifting circles (google the memes). There's only two supplements (natural, not steroids) with decades of peer reviewed research that are unequivically scientifically supported: protein and creatine. Everything else is a debate at best and rubbish at worst. Eat well, train hard and with proper form and sleep properly. Most people don't do these things before looking to supplement. Pre-workouts and BCAAs have near zero to do with someone's gains, saying they're 'speeding things along' and you 'may' get the same gains without them but slowly, is miles off the mark.

As someone below points out your assertion about creatine is also wrong. (edited)

I just put the scoop off creatine powder straight in my mouth and then drink some water. Otherwise you keep filling the glass up trying to get the bits in the bottom. This way nothing is wasted.
    Hoyy's avatar
I just shake the cup every now and then and do it rapidly when the water gets near the bottom

With the flavoured ones you get less creatine per scoop. This one has 4.5g in every 5g scoop. Where as the plain one for £11.99 here has 5g of creatine per 5g scoop. Always go for unflavoured. (edited)

I do remember reading that somewhere but it skipped my mind, oh well, lol

Peak Supps are better priced. If you go for the 500g or 1kg bags- better priced than this or most other places. If you went for their 250g (closer to 300g listed here) bag they would be marginally more expensive but that’s only because this is on offer. When this is at normal price, the peak supps prices seems to be cheapest around from a reputable place.

How does this compare to creatine monohydrate from MyProtein?

I don’t know much about the variations in creatine supplements and only just recently started taking creatine, thanks (edited)

I've not used this one before as I always used the Myprotein one in the past however was looking to just buy creatine and did not want to put in a £45 order as didn't need anything else from MyProtein.

The reviews look good for this on Amazon.

Maybe a supplements expert can chime in.

As far as I'm aware, Creatine is Creatine. You can get Creapure but I think it just means it dissolves easier.
    redwing5's avatar
Yeah your right in that creatine is creatine as far as mono goes . Creapure is tested more for impurities but the difference is minimal.

Hummmmmm. Cheers. Ordered 2 and got £5 off for getting delivered to a locker

I've been to the gym four times and still have no muscles yet. Will that solve the problem?

Can you post a cheaper price for 300g in that case?

Does this give you a pump like a pre workout? I use venom pre workout at the moment but running low, was thinking of trying this..ta
    momo0909's avatar
No pump. This isn’t a pump/pre workout product. It’s just plain creatine which you can take anytime time of day if you work out or don’t. Some pump products have creatine in them.

    OK thanks

Is this cheap for creatine? I've never bothered with it tbh but might be worth adding it in
    momo0909's avatar
Yhh it’s a good price point. Close to as cheap as you can get from a reputable brand

I needed creatine and saw this but decided to get what I’ve used for years…

The unflavoured version of this is £12.71 at the mo for those who don't want any additives and a decent price for a small order.
