Came to know that ultra doesn’t have eSIM support but base 14 does in Europe. Something to consider if you want to use eSIM

How does this compare to the 13t pro in terms of photos? Gotta say I used to love Chinese phones for value for money and I still love my huawei mate 20 Pro which is think cost about 200 quid 5 yrs ago but I've been disappointed with most phones Inc from Google / Samsung/ xiaomi since. They seem a bit better but are charging 3 or more times as much

Also does the lens fog up like the 13t pro when filming high res? (edited)
    tjc2005's avatar
I haven't had mine fog up at all. (Xiaomi 14) (edited)

Further to my post above, I thought I'd try the "heat out the condensation" trick. Left it recording 4K/60 and 8K/24 video for quite a few hours and had some 3DMark benchmarks running to properly warm it up. I can't reproduce the fogging so it seems to have fixed it for now.

Update: having recorded 4K/60 video outside for around 5 minutes again, the fogging reappears. Phone's going back. (edited)

Thanks for reporting this - I was considering buying this device. I assume a future firmware update can't fix this issue, correct?
I'm surprised no 'professional' reviewers have reported this (unless they're getting paid to not say anything negative)?
For example, Tech Spurt tested the device for a week and reported nothing at all about this???

Placed an order for 14 ultra for now.

    1169 with a 10% student discount.

    290 for nothing phone 1

I could sell Xiaomi pad 6 for at least 220 to CEX

I could also let go of the professional kit but that would be difficult. Now to sell other phones I have.

I just went for this - I got £170 for a smashed Mate 20 pro that has been sitting in a drawer for ages - If I get £200 for the tablet then £800 altogether seems like a bargain IMO
  6. mjh17474's avatar
Argh this is almost exactly what I was looking for. Need a new tablet, a phone with a SD 8 G3 that isn't 6.8", flat screen..... But then the OS, ugh I just couldn't face using it :(.
Awesome deal though! Think I'll wait a bit longer.
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
Hyper OS is great. I wouldn't worry about the software I think.

Come on guys. List the tablet and watches on eBay. I'm hoping for £15 to buy the watch and ideally £200 or less for the tablet. eBay is starting to get more listings but hoping for hundreds more.
Some sellers have started the watch at £22 and tablets at £175. Some deluded sellers have listed the items for the same price you can buy them new from Xiaomi
    Nemo89's avatar
Way too low them prices. People should be listing the tablets for no less than £250 and the watch at £30. You do get dummy sellers who wreck the value
  8. Bazila47's avatar
Wondering why you get more incentives for the cheaper model £849 than the £899 model. I'm now swaying towards the 256gb model purely for that reason.
Also there's 2% back on Topcashback which I don't think has been mentioned.

If anyones ordered and done a tradein - have you noticed the tradein package email comes in straight away to your email. It asks you to send in your trade in phone ASAP to get the best price ( so guessing the phone trade in value apart from the confirmed £150 could drop in value if you send it in later . Also when you click on the tradein reference which takes you to the 3rd party company it doesn't work ? It takes you to //xiaomi-uk.foxway.tech/check-status/?order= but can never get there due to external site unable to provide secure connection. Anyone else had previous experience of trade in with Xiaomi and give us your thoughts ? (edited)
    absolutebeginner's avatar
I have traded in before. In a few days you will get another email containing the label. You print this label off, post the phone and wait for the money to hit your account.
Last time I had no nasty surprises and all went as planned.

Watched Gizmochina review of 14 ultra. Not much impressed. Monster cameras but not much improvement from 13 ultra. I might drop out from waiting for this.
    vassy4u's avatar
Finding a 13 ultra cheaper is hard. Considering the freebies n extra trade in amount 14 ultra would be better n better resale value if needed
  11. ohsomeonenew's avatar
Have a birthday coupon which gives 10% off but can't use the 50 pound coupon together

how to get this coupon please?

Decent price for this bundle ♨️ but shame about the price of the Ultra!
    medicgaming123's avatar
I honestly don't think it's that bad. You're getting a genuinely good tablet, professional lens kit and smartwatch, and £50 off right out the bat. But i see what people mean. My take is that, as a 15PM user, it's going to win in the main cameras by a country mile, and i'm not even doubtful. Eyeing the comparisons people made with the 13 Ultra and the 15PM made me make that decision. They're also offering £949 for the 15PM 256GB, so that's tempting!
  14. MikeVuong's avatar
Will they take damage phones trade in also will they take china phones got water damage xiaomi 13 pro, cheer's
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
They have 13 pro in the list. You can enter that it has a damage and see if they offer anything.
  15. FrozenFire's avatar
Any idea about UK release/Delivery date for Ultra ?
    Andy_Reinlo's avatar
You can preorder on Amazon for dispatch march 18th so I'm guessing it's then or there abouts
  16. Msx98's avatar
Apologies if I am being dim, is the trade in paid into bank account which they ask for but it then says coupon off next order. So is it cash paid in or a coupon. Significant difference to me??.
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
You have an option to select. If you select rebate then it will be paid in your account
  17. FrozenFire's avatar
does Xiaomi offer anything for datatransfer from Xiaomi mobile to xiaomi mobile which transfer all apps alongwith folder settings/groups ?
or any standard advise would be appreciated

    1299 for the ultra
    Fiddles's avatar
Paying that amount of money for any phone is madness
  19. jazzuk777's avatar
If they did a vanilla android like their short lived dalliance with Android One, I'd be interested. Who wants to pay this much for Miui and ads and bloatware? You can turn it off, but still their version of android is uglier. I'm not exactly a Samsung fan, but you'd be better off with them at this price.
    uscool's avatar
I don't see single ad on Xiaomi mi 11 with miui ? What bloatware ? Don't see anything more than Samsung/ OnePlus , also they changed to hyper os with recent releases

If you want vanilla buy pixel (edited)
  20. coldfusion77's avatar
Battery should be 5000mah plus on all mobiles these days
  21. herby247's avatar
their taking the Michael with the ultra, no 256 or 1Tb option.
Smaller battery, 5000 over 5300 on Chinese version.
Almost £500 more than Wanda mobile, spose depends how much your need android auto and band 20.
    ...
Also the trade in option is strange, they give you the value of your device and £150 towards your next mi order, so can't be used against this... I think.
    Disappointing, but expected unfortunately.
Least their throwing in the camera kit, Xiaomi pad 6 and the Xiaomi band 8 pro... But can all be sourced cheaper on Ali. (edited)
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
There is an option of trade in rebate.

The 13T Pro bundle for £509 (Watch 2 pro and Pad SE included) was probably as good a value as it gets. The shots the 13T Pro takes are more natural than my 15 PM, during daytime, with night time shots trailing, but not by much. The selfie camera is woeful, and resembles the quality of the Moto G32 i once had, but i don't really use it that often. My only complaint is the fact that a feature that once allowed you to turn the control centre off is no longer there, why remove the feature, and make it more IOS like? Otherwise, a spectacular value.
  25. Ragdoll_Pigeon's avatar
Can't they just sell this without the accessories for £400???
    Caz42's avatar
If only eh. I'm sure they'd sell thousands more at a reduced price instead.
  26. herby247's avatar
I swear, I'd be better calling Burger King than the Xiaomi UK support line.

Adamant you have 14 days to trade in, yet this promotion CLEARLY states 50 days...

I was out today recording video for quite a while and I encountered the dreaded fogging issue. Also had this with the 13T Pro (it was much worse with that phone though - started happening as soon as I opened the camera app).

It only happens when I record video and after a few minutes but disappointed to see it again. It only affects the main camera (top left).

I love Xiaomi. I actually watched the launch event for this. I'm like an apple fan boy but with financial intelligence.

I was very disappointed with the EU UK price for the Xiaomi 6S PRO and 14 Ultra.

The tablet is £369 in China. In the UK it will be £600. That's a completely unacceptable difference in pure profit for the same device.

I think both the above will fail to sell due to this and tank in value in 6 months. Will definitely consider buying from China and flash global or EU ROM.

Would I consider this actual deal? I doubt it. I have 12T Pro and it's working fine.

I'm going to wait until they throw in a free electric car, pair of scales and a washing machine.
  31. jackjt8's avatar
I would have taken wireless buds over the tablet anyday. Especially if you are getting the Ultra which is classed as a phablet anyway. I get the Pad probably doesn't sell much so it "makes sense" to bundle it as an incentive... I just don't see a use for it. What's more annoying is that you can't buy the 1TB ultra variant. It exists in china but of course they don't offer it in the UK.
  32. malky39's avatar
Realistically what we looking at if you sold the pad and watch. £250.
Wish they would just have the phone at £600 or there abouts without the free stuff
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
Get it with the 10% code then it is cheaper
  33. matlock67's avatar
I got my cashback today, £100 into PayPal account and £140.67 for my pixel 6 direct to my bank account, they quoted me £144 on the initial trade in.

I reckon I may have got £160 on eBay

    so in all I got the 14 , tablet and watch for £764 - 240 = £524

not opened any of them yet as I don’t know if I’m keeping my 13T and iPad pro
    Shahriar_Mueed's avatar

Haven't even opened the 13T Pro or Watch I ordered last week as I have been away.
Have just opened the Redmi Pad SE though.

And now this deal comes along. Must resist. And I also have the 10% birthday coupon so it would be £764.10 for me.

And the trade in eval says £97.27 +£100 for my Poco F3

    Making the total £566.83

I've succumbed including the trade in. Hopefully it goes smoothly.

I did want to try and add the Watch S3 at £64.99 as well. But the option only appears if you don't do a trade in. Then I tried opening another tab and adding the watch but that didn't work, just seemed to create a new cart

So I decided I didn't need that as well.
