    Sorry to ask... Not used nectar points for ages and can't see it anywhere;

How much does £10 get you in nectar points, in £ value?

Normally, it's 1 point for every £1 spent.
You need a minimum of 500 points to be able to convert to a voucher (worth £2.50), 1000 for £5 & so on up to a max of £200 per voucher (you'll need all of 40,000 pts for this!).
Any remaining points you don't convert will remain in your account for next time, so you don't lose any.

Assuming you're eligible for this offer, a £25 spend would net you 375. You'll still be 125 shy of reaching the 500 threshold to be able to convert it to a £2.50 voucher. So you'll need to spend a minimum of £34 here to get 500.

In order to maximise it all to your advantage, you'll need to use Nectar whichever retailer offers it - link your Nectar card with them & bank cards to Nectar.
Also go via a cashback site like TCB/Quidco at every opportunity to benefit even more - fortunately, Nectar & thirdparty cashback like this can be earned together.
Finally, take up as many deals like this offering multiple Nectar points & others offering 'bonus' Nectar points - an example for the latter here hotukdeals.com/dea…284 (edited)

It's really annoying that they've removed it automatically showing the nectar points at the checkout stage of eBay.

Just an update. I bought something in the Home Garden category and had the bonus points the next day!49745646-Dp0mi.jpg

Thanks OP for the heads up. Bit annoying though as I'm looking to spend £500 on car parts which look like they are not included in this offer.

Ask the seller to add it to a second category.

This may sound daft but what exactly falls under home and garden?
    Anything listed under home ....
    And garden.....

Mucky waters as you don't know 100% before purchasing (previously you would see nectar points when viewing item or adding to basket)
    But now you can't

And ts and Cs also very vague with nothing specific mentioned

On the web site, it's clearly shown at the top of the item page:

Not so clear in the app, because not only do you have to drill down to the item details to see the category, it misses off the initial "Home & Garden".

Sods law, bought a log store through Amazon the other day, would have worked out £15 cheaper buying it this way from the same company..... (edited)

I received the eBay/Nectar offer but, as always, it's only any good if there's something particular that you need and further limited to home and garden categories. Also have to research whether the item can be purchased cheaper elsewhere.

Put another way, not such a tempting deal as to engineer a purchase for the sake of it, which I did in the 2021 Black Friday 50x Nectar points offer.

Agreed. If you received a promo email from a retailer saying they were running a 7.5% rebate deal, would you be excited and rushing to buy something? Likely not! At that level it's only really an incentive if you were buying something anyway.
What makes it a better promotion for eBay is that 90% of users don't know what a Nectar point is worth, and at 15x points likely visualise it to be a bigger discount than it really is. Probably also why eBay has removed the info on item pages saying how many Nectar points and their equivalent cash value that you would receive!

doesn't seem to be adding the extra points on... even at checkout? Does it work for everyone else?

    Taken from a recent thread

Bonus points no longer show during purchase.

Use below link to confirm activation and the points should show here within a few days after purchase:
