sorted bySuitable for specific situations, but the blind mass adoption in totally unsuitable situations (my experience) is ridiculous and bad management/leadership. Especially when the actual motive is them hearing of cutting costs and time (and corners!).
When you're forced to stand round and write on walls because of this being adopted just to 'appear' agile despite everything around the product necessitating waterfall, you tend to get a cynical and negative view of these things that become 'industry standard' somehow. (edited)
