What's a raspberry pi?
I've been meaning to do the Magic Mirror for a while. Do you know what the minimum Raspberry pi is to cope with that? I've not bought a Pii since the 2nd generation one think it was, just wondering if that would handle that. Have you used the double sided mirror on that our is it just the screen?
Anyone got a link to all of the back issues as its going to take an age manually downloading every single issue.
I will replace my aging media center setup with a LibreElec on PI combo.I think I will wait for the 4Gb Pi4 board...
Pretty easy if you know the basics of command line (or can copy and paste). I used MagicMirror and it's literally one line in terminal to install it. bash -c "$(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/master/installers/raspberry.sh)" then you just need to git clone any modules you want and (for some) npm install. Then you copy and paste the module details into the config file. You can get images where the modules are all meant to be installed but I could never get those to work, and it isn't a difficult job adding the ones you want. The most difficult bit tends to be getting API keys etc from third party services. But the modules all have step-by-step instructions so if you don't know how to git clone & npm install you'll soon learn (very easy). It took me about two hours to set up but 70% of that is looking through the modules you want and getting API keys. The actual work on the Pi is very simple. For what it's worth the ones I installed are MMM-ModuleScheduler - shows/hides modules MMM-RemoteControl - allows you to control the mirror from your phone MMM-GooglePhotos - pulls through Google albums. We have added family to this so they can all upload photos of kids as well and they show on the screen MMM-GoogleCast - shows what is being casted to different devices MMM-Snow - made snowflakes with the kids faces so (in small doses) can make four and one year old very excited when they become snow on the screen calendar clock MMM-Tado - shows tado temp and humidity MMM-DarkSkyForecast - weather MMM-MyGarbage - shows only on bin day which colour bin to put out & amended days on bank holidays MMM-Screencast - allows you to cast videos to the screen from Youtube
I wouldn't count Coldplay as "one of the worlds most important bands"....most something else, but not important... Oh and the book, commercialising something that's already over commercialised....
Very good read.
BBC News - Emily Eavis hopes for a greener Glastonbury festival https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-48505370 This is also an interesting read
Ditto that. No points paid, and after an hour+ on live chat, got an apology, but told further investigations needed. Too much time and effort for a net £3.75. Don't recommend this 'deal' or Nectar in general.
I would just add that on my Nectar 1000 points offer for Virgin Trains on this booking period I have a terms & conditions which says 'minimum spend £8' so worth checking your individual terms & conditions. My LNER offer has no such spend criteria.
Buy a cheap LNER train service ticket get 1k nectar points. Simples.
I dont get this post...can someone explain it to me??
If you want to book a cheap ticket just to get the 1000 points its a waste of time having to go through the order process to find its not with the correct provider. Nectar/Sainsbueys should be ashamed of such a promotion which can so easily be booked in expectation of the points but so easy not to qualify
Follow boz, he regularly posts free kindle books. Not bought a book for years
I picked up the 3 months free a couple of months ago and, to be honest, it would have to be the price mentioned here for me to carry on. Pretty much all the books I've read with KU are 99p to buy, so there's no way I'd pay £7.99 a month when I'm only managing to read one book a week.
For me it shows 30 days free then £9.99 for 3 months. Variety is the spice of Amazon
Must be account specific as it's £7.99 for me.
Probably best combined with one of the regular Marvel sales. Curently sales on Black Cat, Mysterio and Critics' Choice (so a mixed bag of good stuff).
Glad I could help :)
Thanks OP purchased 3 credits
Thank you - been waiting ages for a deal like this!
Great deal, I've voted hot even though I've got enough unread books so don't really need any more... Currently listening to the complete collection of Sherlock Holmes stories (~72 hours! Amazing value for 1 credit) so I don't think I'll need a new book this side of Christmas XD (nerd)
I missed the first days sale which is unfortunate, but yesterday had quite a few books in the selection that i picked up, really good price here for what you're getting.
You don't lose access to your books if you stop paying as they are yours. You will lose any unused credits though!
Jus a word of warning, if you’ve got young kids and an Amazon Echo. There are absolutely no parental controls. My young son said “Echo, tell me a story” and my Echo replied “OK here’s a story from Ricky Gervais”. There is no way to disassociate or disable your Audible account from your Amazon account. Audible were meant to contact me too and never did, so awful customer service to boot.
You need to spend your credits before you cancel.
cheers, collecting some holiday reading!
Thanks, I'll give this a go. :D
I’m just working with the schema I was given
Yup same here.
Probably overlooking something, but I only see that it's free to read - but for 'Kindle Unlimited' subscriptions. Buying the Kindle Version to keep is listed as £3.05.
Lol. Who designed your database. A price as a VARCHAR. Outrageous. The select should be: SELECT book FROM shelf WHERE price = 0 AND title = 'Learn SQL: A Practical Guide for SQL Server and Database Fundamentals' :D
Select book from shelf where price = ‘free’ Lesson finished
Thanks Op (y)
Thank You :)
You’re welcome GH0STCIVIC! (y) 🏻
The books is fantastic and the quality is excellent. I also got it mostly for the brick when I found it for £6 in the January sales in Sainsburys. I'm really glad I picked it up as it's a brilliant addition to my lego library. I think this is a good price and think anything under 10 is well worth it.
Such a good looking book, need to get this some point soon. Though I'd be happy to spend less than £7 for it as I mostly want the brick but the book looks so well published and the cover is so premium.
Same price TXmaxx
Cheers Boz! (y)
Better than Captain Marvel (lol)
