Stain remover? Bill Clinton's friend more like

Oh wow, I feel like I'm in a topical news show from 1998.

London Lass.... It probably wasn't a scratch, but metals...steel, stainless steel aluminium, titanium (watch bracelets) etc can leave a metallic streak on porcelain which is very very difficult to remove. Looks like the Barkeepersfriend did the business a treat! The usual way to clean marks off porcelain is a Cramer bath rubber.

This stuff is immense! We managed to scratch our toilet bowl with a metal snake device while clearing a blockage. Emptied the water out, made a paste from bar keeper's friend and applied using a sponge it now looks good as new again.

The correct terminology for this is metal marking, which also occurs on plates by cutlery. Bar keepers friend is the ceramic industry secret weapon in removing such marks including sanitaryware. Worked a treat on my sink. Glad it worked for you too londonlass.
