Not sure but these days the memory prices have been dropping quite nicely, here is Crucial RAM DDR5 16GB 4800MHz CL40 Laptop memory for £35.99.

    Am I right in thinking I can get 2x£36 16gb sticks and use them the same as a 32(2x16gb)gb kit?

    I am not an expert but I believe it should be fine to buy two separate sticks and use them together, obviously they have to be same brand, speed, etc.

    Yes, as long as both RAM sticks are capable of running at the same speed and timings, they should run fine in a dual channel configuration. In fact, the ram that makes up “dual channel kits” is really just two of the same sticks also sold individually.
