I posted this last year and have been using it since. No issues apart from the plastic laminate being worn off the power button. Still think it's worth it though. Temp control comes in really handy when brewing coffee or making baby formula for older babies, six months at least. It used to take ages to cool down the formula when I used a regular kettle. With this one I would just heat the water to 70c and mix in the powder and the cool down was much easier and quicker. (edited)

You should always boil tap water to 100°c and let it cool for small babies as it kills most microbes in which 70°c does not.

Haven't got this one, but got a temp control kettle last time I needed to replace mine.
Great being able to heat the water to the right temps for Black tea, coffee and herbal teas.

As well as better tasting drinks because of that, you also save a little more energy in the (very) long run.

Its pot luck with these glass ones WRT to steam causing chalking very quickly...... bear with me here....

Whilst they look good in the photos, some excessively steam up inside which means after a few days/weeks they start chalking up and looking awful..... I dont mean steam when boiling... but what remains once the boil is complete..... the problem you get is water staying "bobbled" all up the sides of the glass as opposed to running down...

I had 2 russel hobbs ones and both had this issue with me having to manually clean literally days into purchase... Maybe ok for some, but i think its a lot of hard work for 4 boils........ just to add this was using filtered water....

The Tower branded ones seem to not have this problem (as badly) from what i have seen and been told, but then again some reviews report the same....

    Hope this helps

Excellent. Thanks OP, just what I needed. Temperature control kettles are usually a bit more on Amazon for a decent one.
