Just played through RE2 - what a masterpiece. I hear RE3 remake is a bit of a mess in comparison, but should be worth the £7.50 needed to buy on its own for XB-X.

RE3 isn’t really a mess. It is the exact same as 2, the story is concurrent with 2 and the mechanics are the exact same, it is really an expansion on RE2, which in fairness is the same as the original releases.

The biggest issue is that they released it as a full price game, it’s about 6-8 hours long and just feels like a DLC pack for RE2. Back in the mid 1990s they got away with that, but these days when everyone knows what DLC is, it stands out a bit as money grabbing.

At £7.50 i’d jump at it, at the £30/£40 they wanted originally it felt very light compared to RE2. Being bundled with RE2 is the perfect placement for it.

That's the Microsoft UK price right now. RE2 + RE3 for £12.99, or one of them for £8.24 - I bought RE2 on its own a few weeks ago.

    Can’t wait for Resi 4; 2 & 3 were brilliant. (edited)

You should not regret it. Bought this a few months ago. RE2 was amazing. I heard RE3 wasn't as good, played through it just last week during Christmas break and I thought it was wild. A lot more action packed and less tense than RE2. I can understand why the reviews weren't as good but I really had fun with it. It is ridiculously short but £15 for these two games is great.

Is there a fun way to play these if you're old enough to have tried to play the original Nemesis but was rubbish at it, and are convinced you're terrible at survival horror games - without getting really frustrated and never playing them?

They sell a add on for these games which gives you an infinite rocket launcher and infinite machine gun, when you have that it's like easy mode and can basically blast your way through all the enemies quite easily, you can unlock all this stuff through normal gameplay too but pay the couple of quid and have fun.

Just bought RE3 for my XB-X after this discussion - £8.24.

Just been playing RE2 2nd go with Claire, jeez that's difficult - got loads of ammo for weapons I don't yet have and bugger all for the ones I do.

I am looking to pick up RE:2 on eBay as we speak

Will get it for about £10

Now I have to think if I want to get an extra game for a bit more but no resale value

    Decisions...

As long as you buy it then yes you can play with out it. Just can't play it online but you don't need to do that anyway since it's not co-op.
