The Seiko Prospex is simply one of the finest dive watches on the market. This edition is inspired by the 1965 Seiko Dive watch - the first 150m watch in Japan - and features a classy black bezel with gold markings, 200m water resistance, automatic movement with 70-hour power reserve and a deep chocolate brown dial. The Seiko Prospex is an excellent showcase for Seiko's renowned craftsmanship, and strikes a perfect balance between rugged practicality and fashionable design and wearability .

I have the SPB143 with the grey dial. It’s a lovely piece but the watch was running way outside the movement tolerances. I had to send it back to Seiko for regulation. It took around two months before I got it back on the wrist. It is now running about 5 seconds fast a day. The bezel is also very slightly misaligned, I still love it and wear it daily though. Unfortunately thats the only problem with the low end Seiko movements, the last Seiko I purchased was dreadful at timekeeping, even after regulation it was bad. Not long ago I purchased a Certina with powermatic 80 auto movement and it was accurate to 3 seconds a day, When purchasing an automatic watch I now avoid the tat Seiko churn out.
