    Use this hub fixed to the underside of the desk coupled with this extension for a nice clean setup. Works perfectly with M1 Mac hardwired to Ethernet and additional monitor via HDMI.

    There's another version listed as "a newer version of this item" which loses the ethernet and adds an extra USB C port, though it can only do 4k @ 30Hz.

    Got this, it's brilliant. Only thing that isn't perfect, is that with my logitech mouse dingle plugged in to this rather than they key board, it sometimes is a bit laggy. So I just keep that in the laptop. Other than that, great

    Maybe that's the issue - try plugging in the dongle rather than the dingle and see if that helps?
