Apparently my Garmin satnav with built in dashcam only supports 64gb. Can this be true? :o

Anyone know would this be quick enough for a raspberry pi running emulation Station ie arcade machines, snes. Mega drive etc assuming the pi supports 256gb cards

Bought one for my dash cam. Let's see how it works out

Would you recommend the card for a dash cam? If not, which one is the most suitable? Thanks

So the difference is a higher minimum write speed then.

Yes now I see (confused) Then what's the point of the different UHS Speed classes !??? (horror) (fierce)

Looking at the speeds on paper, it doesn't look like there's much difference between the two?

That's U1. This Zelda design one is U3. Good price for this OP ;)

great timing from amazon isn't it sold out and no restock just the week before samsung have this cashback promo (skeptical) and agree with the info about resellers, as long as it's well known sellers with their own website e.g. Base, CCL, 7dayshop and Picstop etc it should be fine, but no cashback tho'.

Yes, Amazon was selling it for around £100 a week back but they went oos or else it would have been great. Even the BT deal is great (thanks for sharing). (y) Amazon's third party sellers are not eligible for the cashback and highly likely to be fake ones apart from UK renowned sellers like Base, CCL, 7dayshop and Picstop..

Agree, however, there is the added risk of the card being a fake if one buys from any of the Amazon sellers.

good to see a qualifying retialer have this in stock, but the price is about £20 more expensive than the "fulfilled by amazon" sellers, so even after cashback you're saving only about £10, better than nothing I suppose... don't know why amazon themselves don't have this in stock...

Seems insanely cheap for a 90MB/s write card. Any one got experience if they get close to that?

I have two of 64gb for my camera and I can't find any difference between this brand and more expensive ones. I've used Sandisk in the past and one of them died few weeks ago after 4 years.

What's the quality/reliability of 'My Memory' cards like?

Using an adapter doesn't slow the write speed on a DSLR provided you use the exact same spec cards. The only problem with an adapter is that it can be of poorer build quality to a full size SD card and may break sooner and potentially do damage if removed very frequently.

I know, I've posted the microSD deal here (y) Depends for what you are using the card. Using a micro sd with an adapter in a DSLR is slowing the writing speed.

Can you imagine, about just only 1 Decade back, there were STILL some Laptops out there being sold as new with 250GB HDD's within them? (or 300GB+ IF you were lucky?). And now 256GB is on a sodding memory card?, BAM!!. 10 Year's ago you'd have counted yourself VERYYYY lucky if you were one of the fortunate FEW that a 64GB memory card (or even a 32GB for that matter?, hahahahahaha). To be fair to base they do tell you its coming from Switzerland before you order if you understand what "Dispatched from BaseCH" means.. it could perhaps be a bit clearer, but once you know it does tell you in future.

Thanks for the update. I can wait so no problem for me :)

One question, how'd you edit RAW files in Adobe Lightroom on your Phone?, or ... (What am I missing in this statement of yours?, lol), thanx.

Thanx for those, you two, very helpful.

No idea, but I doubt it, lol (but I could be wrong?). You could however make more useful use of something like this though: A PERFECT hardware and software VPN for the masses, etc, and you too, perhaps? (who knows?). :-D Check HUKD periodically, because even though the link I linked you to is done/expired, it has come up before ... So could inevitably price be to be worth that extra effort for you?. :-)

This thing is junk in my opinion. It might work in some use cases but for what I want it for it is an epic fail. It can be very unstable holding onto a WiFi connection. Using the app to copy files to phone or tablet is very unstable - keeps failing transfer. When it does work it is very slow - 8Mbps. Copying files from sd card to USB drive is more reliable if using Web portal (not the supplied app). Unfortunately can't use Web portal to copy from sd card to android device. Most third party apps will not see sharred media properly. Tried to get latest firmware from Web but support send email with missing attachment. I have emailed them for help but got no reply. You can put openwrt on this and I might try that, otherwise it will go on eBay. A really good travel router is any from GL.INET. They are fast and rock solid. Unfortunately not had great success reading exfat sd cards with them (unreliable) so will persevere with that. I wish I had not bought this junk. I think RavPower is generally over-rated. I no longer use their battery packs either as there are better spec, cheaper options. My on the road backup solution will be a Huawei P30 512GB when I upgrade phone in a few months as apparently this handles exfat via USB otg reliably. I also think the WD passport drives with built-in SD card readers also work reliably so I might try one of those.

They're usually alright on AliExpress, just look at the feedback and almost all are good reviews. There was a recent Linus Tech Tips video where they updated an LG G3 and it runs nice after flashing Lineage OS.

Thanks. Always a little dubious with AliExpress. Currently mulling over the redami 6s. He's off to high school this year so wants a better phone than he has, currently very basic alcatel. Don't wanna spend the earth as he is a clutz and will just fill the thing with silly games. Watches Netflix etc so decent screen a bonus. Would be on PayG with WiFi usage. Doesn't need to be something that breaks the bank but also needs to be something he isn't embarrassed about using in front of his mates with £1000 contract iPhones!

If this around your budget, then something like a LG G3 or G4 from AliExpress could be a good choice, flash Lineage OS to it and it's fairly upto date. Good camera, replaceable battery, nice screen and 32GB storage.

Awwwww that's sad, I know that people who sell online wont leave anything cheap to make money (fierce)

Just back from Linwood, Paisley. No stock of either Vodafone's L1 or O2s Nokia 2.1 Shame. Looks like I'll keep looking for a low price phone for the kids.
