Im dont think it is about being fully self-sufficient, as that would be impossible especially with todays sized gardens and the wide variety of Fruit + Veg on offer that could be home grown.It's more likely for us to have a go at growing a few thing we like most.A sort of pet project. What soil you have and which way is your garden facing is going to be the first thing to think about,and even if you only have a small garden but like salad stuff your be able to grow quite a varied choice.
