£267 for a Pixel 5 (as long as it is 'good' condition) is the best phone bargain at present. Do it, you won't be disappointed.

£169 for a 4XL! How did you manage that?

I will be as soon as that deal on the 6 Pro comes around again.

I've nust bitten too. Thanks, Switchy and Sunnyvr.

Yes they are not good where i live signal is terrible....3 and EE are the best then Vodafone which has got better over the last couple of years, Vodafone was the worst but have got a lot better.

Payed via PayPal. Seller is IDS (Hong Kong) Company Limited. Order shows up as "PROCESSING" under My Orders and received email confirmation pretty much instantly.

Just bit the bullet on this - I'll keep this thread updated with the process, if anyone's interested. For the record, I don't expect this to go smoothly by any means. (embarrassed)

I think they will stick with this camera design for the next few years can't see them dropping it after one phone launch. They could just use the same squared design for the A series but if leaks are true then it's going to look identical to the 6

Let's hope it doesn't have that stupid camera bump the 6 is an ergonomic mess. I'm sticking with my 3a XL.

Beast of a phone the best s10 that could be with compact size and wicked solid reliable 🔋. Had mine for a year and holds charge like a champ with all I chuck at it (y) easy recommend! Good find

My Nokia 8 suffers major burn in - it fades away eventually but it's an absolute nightmare!

Worst battery life ever.

I've had this phone for almost three years and it's hand down the best phone I've ever purchased. I am a slut for the smaller form-factor though so it might not be everyone

No burn in on my 5 year old OnePlus 3 ref1ux.

I currently use a 2019 xperia mark 1, and have used various sony for the last 9 years, also have pixel 3, I can honestly say my 2 half years xperia 1 Mark 1 is the best phone I have had, it's never slowed in performance, battery life has only slightly degraded only becuse sony use a great battery care tech. Overall I only want change it becuse feel like new model, as for performance its better then pixel.

I know Samsung are worse, I avoid them with a barge pole lol. Being better than another offender doesn't make it acceptable (and don't even start me on Bixby). 5 years is not that long ago as I used it up to only 3 years ago, there were multiple other Sony phones before that. The comments make it clear Sony still has their bloatware apps, so they've clearly not reinvented themselves that much. I've had 3 phones which seemed great in the shop and just became unbearable / outdated within 24m. There's really no settling this argument, if you discredit somebody who literally owned Sony phones then theres no common ground to reason on. As a consumer, buying 3 frustrating devices does not mean I should give them another chance and try a 4th. It means I can give fair warning before people give the company £700.

I get great results on auto in normal conditions. In lower light it isn't as straightforward due to Sony's particular approach but that's fine. I just go to shutter priority and adjust slightly and still get great shots that way. I took many photos over Christmas in not so great conditions on both the Xperia 5 iii and the Pixel 6. Many on my Twitter chose the shots from the 5 iii. It comes down to your own preference with photography. I prefer the natural look from an Xperia. It's just different, not bad.

Why you comparing a 5 year old phone with today's standard, most phones of the era were 16gb you talk about bloatware the Samsung was king of that, S4 and s5 had the worse operating software with TouchWiz was the bloatware king and was known to slow down in performance due the heavy Samsung SKIN. might Good idea to get or try a Sony xperia before you make judgements based on your old experience of phone

Some very fair points, but passionately put personal statements does not make it fact. As i stated before, 6 years of use with a Sony phone.......I have never ever, ever, ever, ever ran out of storage due to "bloatware".

I love this phone just wish the screen wasn't curved

Looks like they've raised the price :(

I know but i don't get why. Specs are almost identical on both phones. It looks like soon there won't be a separate note phone. Still to the day the best phone i owned was the note 4. The IR blaster. The satisfaction of swapping out the battery and going from 0 to 100 percent

Are people getting £501.49? I seem to be getting £543.99 after the discount has been applied.

You'd think, but the notes have always kept a good price, whether same spec or not.
