It’s easy to see why the soundbar is today’s TV audio device of choice. It’s sleek in form, easy to set up and operate, all while delivering rich sound from the latest flat-screen televisions. But with so many models, styles and features out there, how do consumers make an informed buying decision? Luckily, hotukdeals rounds up today’s hottest offers into one convenient spot so buyers always have their fingers on the pulse.

Which? give Samsung HW-T550 as the only sub £200 best buy. It's £188 at John Lewis, Boots kitchen Appliances and ao.com. Comes with remote, separate wireless subwoofer, 2 x HDMI (CEC & arc), Toslink optical, USB input, Bluetooth 4. "How does it sound? Good. Our expert listening panel were impressed by its audio quality, praising the clear speech, good level of detail, well-balanced bass and wide stereo image. At times the sound could get slightly muddled and lack warmth, but generally it brimmed with energy and fizz. It’s suitable for medium-sized rooms, with a maximum volume of 91.1dB." "Should I buy it? Yes. This budget Samsung model outperforms more expensive models from Samsung and other brands, too." Hope that helps.

You definitely have options with that amount of money to spend, I really do rate the sound quality. I was that impressed with it that it didn’t take long for me to also purchase the Sonos ones for the rear speakers. I also don’t have room behind the sofa like yourself but have them in line with the back of the sofa facing in at a 45 degree angle. Once you tune this using Sonos’s true play feature it sounds incredible and really does immerse you. I recommend this set up to everyone. Just a few ideas for you :) I would definitely do it again. I was hesitant at first as it’s a big investment but I have no regrets and just wish I done it sooner! Hopefully in the future when I have a larger size room I can get the Sonos Arc and also the sub (y)

Nope, i have one on a window seal and the other on a side table. Not the perfect set up but does a good enough job.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had a look, looks solid... Sadly the depth of the unit is too thick to fit on my wee TV stand (I have around 10.5cm available depth

I was considering pulling the trigger on this, but for the money I was wondering if I could get more i.e. a sub/other speakers. How do you rate the sound and if you could go back, would you do it all over again?

Weetabix

Have you got yours wall mounted?

Make and model of soundbar would be helpful too

Uridium

Some photos might help. Does the AC adaptor have a removal power cord that plugs into it? Many adaptors use a standard cloverleaf (C5) or Fig 8 (C7) . If so you can just buy a longer one of these that will then move the power block further along

I bought this last time it was featured on hukd and I love it but it might be beyond your price point. Great reviews online for it. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/denon-dht-s316-21-wireless-sound-bar-ps18905-at-currysebay-with-code-3705647?utm_source=mappshare&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=3705647&utm_campaign=2021-04-19

Go for a used Samsung ms650. Probably the best all in one soundbar you can buy
