Brilliant tool. .. remember to put grease in the gear box every now and then. There's a panel on the top that unscrews ... Most people don't know about that and eventually it will fail.

If you will use it a lot just remember to clean out the grease and repack with fresh the gearbox access is at the top and if doing a lot of demolition put a light coat of grease (just regular lithium grease) on the tool shaft up to the max depth it goes into the chuck this will help if any grit/particulates that could make it into the locking mechanism and cause the bit to get stuck in the chuck - which can be incredibly difficult to separate usually requiring the help of a bench vice and swearing.
the titan 6.3kg is great its right on the top end of power for SDS+ the only issue I occasionally found was that because it is so large it can sometimes be hard to get the desired angle for some tasks but its excellent for light demolition and can even be used with core drill bits (for soil pipes etc) thanks to the safety clutch.

Can I use it with a holes aw for fan extractor?

yes use this drill in conjunction with core drill bits to make fan extractor holes in masonry, a hole saw is just for wood and similar density materials.

while this drill will manage to drill core holes it is always dangerous to do even though this drill has a Mechanical Safety Clutch that disengages the drill if it gets stuck it can still transfer quite a lot of force into the operator so if you aren't strong/heavy enough it can still transfer enough force to cause an injury, a drill of this type without a Mechanical Safety Clutch will usually break the operators arms/wrists/fingers and sometimes jaw/teeth/face depending on the position it was used when it gets stuck, even with a mechanical safety clutch it can still whip round if you are careless.

Just be warned...I bought one of these to drill a couple of small holes for picture hooks. I lined the drill up and pressed the trigger. Drill had control and took me for a 5 minute ride. I couldn’t even let go of the handle I was so out of control. I ended up completely demolishing two walls in my house. Don’t even have a wall left to hang my pictures now. This is a serious piece of equipment.

Hopefully this will make a better job of it that any of my battery drills. Sounds like it may also come in handy from time to time in future based on everyone's comments but even if it just does the one job I want it for I'll be happy at this price.Should I assume the supplied bits aren't great and buy something better?

@KendallC For the DIY work I have done, I have found the drill bits that came in the kit to have been robust enough when I have drilled into concrete. I have since bought the set of bits and chisels that Screwfix sell in the blue box which gave a bigger selection and longer bits. These were also fine. screwfix.com/p/s…49v. I presume that a tradesperson would prefer to use something else (including a different brand of drill), but for DIY I think they are fine.
As others have mentioned, it's a heavy drill. It's therefore worth carrying the weight of the drill, especially when drilling horizontally, to avoid flexing the drill bit (that is, when the drill bit is in the hole, don't let the weight of the drill hang off it when drilling) .

SDS will drill holes where no other drills can. And do it easily, where a normal hammer drill would just give you a headache!

They use an electro-pneumatic hammer mechanism, the pneumatic hammer directly hits the end of the bit.

If you get one with rotation stop, which this has, you can also use it with a chisel, or attachment to sink socket boxes chase cables and even for small breaking jobs. I'd prefer a lighter weight one myself for most drilling jobs, especially if using it one handed at the top of a ladder. (edited)

Even a light SDS drill will easily drill holes in a brick wall compared to a normal hammer drill. The hammering action of an SDS drill is a hammer on anvil type of action (in the form of a piston and connecting rod like in a car engine) whereas a normal hammer drill uses a cam action (in the form of two ridged plates that knock against each other when pressure is applied). The SDS drill strikes much harder so you'll notice the difference immediately. (edited)

Yes, got one of these to make hole for tumble dryer vent. After getting nowhere with standard Bosch domestic hammer drill, leaning full weight on it and blunting drill bits. Bought this and actually laughed out loud the first time I tried it, it went into the brick like it was plasterboard (who drills butter? ) (edited)

I just want to drill 16 perfect holes in the concrete to put in some sleeve anchors to hold a gazebo in place. Hopefully one of the supplied bits will do the job based on your comments. That said if anyone wants to recommend any bits that might make the job easier/neater I'll look into those too. It seems everything I've looked at so far has both good and bad reviews as is often the case with anything, so I'm none the wiser.

I've had good success with the included bits when drilling both concrete and some very hard bricks. I've never found the quality of SDS bits to be anywhere near as important as normal masonry bits, I think the drill does most of the work. It's probably more important for professionals drilling loads of holes.
If you do find the included ones don't last the 16 holes, then I've always found the cheap Toolstation ones (Heller I think?) to be good enough.

They’re a novice DIYer. They’ve already got a cordless and it’s not working well. So £53, and the one hole they’re probably wanting to do, I’d say it’s better to get this than spend more money on another cordless/SDS. (edited)
