I live in a Hard Water area and regularly top up the Salt on the Dishwasher. Normally find Dishwasher Salt around £1.50 a KG and only in 1-3KG sizes (when its available on the shelves!)

    It says "For all water softeners" but do not use granulated salt in a water softener. Use tablet or block salt.

    If you are happy with the minimal extra effort, then Lidl dishwasher salt is 95p for 2kg.

    True. But I have found several of my local LIDL & ALDI (similar price) very rarely have it in stock.
    Hence why I looked at bulk buying.
