sorted byAs with the first game, I strongly recommend playing on at least a step above Normal difficulty. Makes these games much better and play more like a survival horror game with more limited ammo and whatnot, forcing you to explore and be smarter and use all the capabilities at your disposal. Feels quite balanced for harder difficulties as well, very little BS. (edited)
TLOU2 is rainbows and roses in comparison.
Last of us late one has had a ps5 overall, it’s basically the same game but with much better visuals and better enemy ai and combat

The "gaming industry", which are the journos and woak devs, had insane meltdowns on twitter with the success that Elden Ring had. They do not understand why people love it and how it challenges their bland formulas and greedy monetization schemes
Some of the relentless bone crunching violence is just too much, and I really, really struggled with the torture scene, I found that sickening and disturbing, as it’s meant to be of course!
I played TLOU in PS4 when I bought a PS4 to play Uncharted 4. I thought Uncharted 4 was incredible and TLOU seemed a let down after that game but as I played it more it is just one of the best story led games ever made. I didn't buy TLOU2 until Black Friday this year. Totally different vibe to the TLOU2 but still incredible, very brutal game, with a brutal storyline and a brutal ending. I competed it in just over 30 hours. Amazing how these games get you so invested in the story that the story affects you emotionally for days after. I can't say I enjoyed the ending, but TLOU2 is so much more than a revenge game it's a game about life/human condition and things don't always work out. It's a very human game. Maybe they can make TLOU3 and that has a happy ending but it's Naughty Dog would they even do that? There is scope to make TLOU3 but maybe it's the not knowing anymore about Ellie's story that makes the game. Unanswered questions that beg to be answered but may never be or may be answered in another brutal way.
I think TLOU2 is a masterpiece and years later more people will come to recognise it. It's not perfect, going to the farm, then going for more revenge and coming back to the farm was a bit jarring. I don't think I could play it again not for quite some time as it has such a brutal unrelenting story.
