Use that before setting off. They have worked the following day in the past for a number of people including myself. But we don’t know until what time exactly before they expire? Lunchtime to mid-afternoon has worked before. (edited)

Super wasteful imo to have these codes expire on the same day they are used as you can tell from the amount given away late yesterday, some people just don’t manage to get to a Costa in time themselves.
