Dont forget guys you can freeze it 😁

Full bitter freezes better than the "spreadable" stuff, mind. Too much added water creates ice crystals which spoils the structure of the product.

I purchased one earlier it is the lighter version and is out of date on 13th March. Ideal to use for baking

Never worry about the run out date as it lasts for months, it's the best by date which is the worst but still not poisonous

If you are a fan of Lurpak, you’ll love Aldi’s Nordpak. At £2.19 per 500g it’s less than half the price. We are really fussy and only Lurpak would do, but after taste testing all the alternatives (some we had to give away), Nordpak came out tops. We have been using Lurpak for at least 30 years, so for us to make such an earth shattering change speaks volumes. I think it’s equally as good - if not better than Lurpak. If you check the ingredients list on both packs, they are identical.
At £2.19 it has to be worth a punt?

I agree. Generally I prefer block butter, but buy Nordpak when I need to use a spreadable. Like Lurpak, it's a Lactic butter, which gives it that special buttery tang.

Keep in mind you need membership card

That says Lighter? So not the same product. Still a great price.

Looks like they couldn’t sell at the inflated prices, and now that is coming near to expiry date they reduce it
    Dazzy_Dee's avatar
Er, no. They don't work that way. They take food near its sell by date from the major supermarkets and sell it cheap. You need a membership card to be able to shop there.

Not realy a deal if you can't shop there

Last time o went to the company shop they prices were more expensive than the usual shop rrp! Very hot and miss these days what they have. They had vimto piled up to the ceiling one visit which was over a £1 a bottle when supermarkets all had it for weeks at a £1

You have to be a member 😩
    LexUKdeals's avatar
I understand that if you know someone who is a member, that person can recommend two additional people (family or friends) for membership, who don't need to meet the initial criteria for membership.

Hopefully in Southampton when I go tomorrow... Will edit if so. There has been lots of butter in there for 50p the last 2 times I've been
    no-smoking's avatar
I haven't been there for weeks as the stock has been rubbish! Might try again. Good luck

Is it safe to use as normal like spreading on bread after expiry date?
    Dazzy_Dee's avatar
Yes so long as its been stored properly. Most foods are the same. Just make sure there's no mould growing on it. Most foods are good for at least a few days beyond their use by dates which are really only there to cover the backs of the retailer in case someone gets ill. Use by dates are often much shorter than they need to be.

Never heard of this shop before? But still a "wow"
    Dazzy_Dee's avatar
It's an ethical food retailer. They take short dated food from the big supermarkets and sell it on much cheaper.

We don't have one in London but having clicked on their site they are offering free membership today.
    LexUKdeals's avatar
They don't charge for membership, it's free, but 10 x different sectors are listed on the website that qualify for free membership. However, a member can recommend up to two people (family, friends) for membership who don't meet the criteria.

    So just 1 shop, Leicester?
    LexUKdeals's avatar
The website shows the Company Shop has 12 (industrial unit) shops in England and 2 in Scotland.
