Easy to fit but…Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 March 2023

Very easy to fit and will fit a standard 2 gang 25mm back box easily. The connection to Wi-Fi is easy enough but you MUST disable the 5ghz network otherwise you will have issues (like I did ). I have all my audiovisual equipment, Wi-Fi, networking, printing and computer equipment linked to these sockets and they are superb with my Alexa.
For me, they are the best on the market and I would highly recommend them to anyone

Have replaced all 34 sockets in the house with this one. They are fab, no issue with communicating. Sometimes there is a problem with initial setup so be patient and may wirk on 2nd ord 3rd attempt and sometimes you need to switch to AP mode but once is done they does the job. Love them and never come back to old standard sockets. Once you loose wifi all of them reconnects automatically and sometimes i need to reconnect 1 out of 34 manually which is no big deal

These have been without a doubt, my most unreliable smart home purchases.

Maybe your Wi-Fi is the cause.

I have six of these and mine have all been extremely reliable - never had an issue.

Can you control each socket time separately or do you do both at the same time?

    Separately or together.

Great sockets. Installed 8 of these across the bedrooms back last summer. Had zero issues with them. Even with thick Victorian walls.

Great for checking items have been switched off (like the mrs’s straighteners) out popping lamps etc. on.

Hit and miss for me, one socket is faultless the other is a bit random

I guess it was useful before xmas for the lights and tree but Im not too sure what it would be useful for now when Im not in.

Seems like a good price but I'm struggling to think of a use for them other than lights which I use Hue for already!

I use them for my av receivers. Those things consume a lot of power, even when in standby. An Alexa routine and this keeps it to a minimum (on for 20 mins, play some songs while in the shower, or on for three hours to watch a movie).

this has been reliable for me & I'd be the first to admit I've had some issues with BG "smart" products in the past, but with this no such issues

I replaced all my Energenie smart sockets with these and they have been faultless... that is until we changed the clocks on Sunday and all my timers moved on 1 hour. Most things change the hour and carry on but these sockets moved a timer start for instance from 6.00Am to 7.00 am. That is a minor gripe though and easily sorted. Heat from me

Limit of 1 per customer unfortunately. Ordered one anyway. Heat added! (edited)

Anybody having any issues with linking BG home app and Alexa app. Just keep getting a 404 error

If anyone had any setup issues with bghome app. Uninstall it. Use broadlink TV remote. Choose generic wifi device. Works perfectly
