Now other classic consoles are just toys! Introducing The A500 Mini, a compact reimagining of this classic home computer. Featuring perfect emulation of not only the original A500 (OCS) and Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) of future revisions, but also the Advanced Graphics Architecture (AGA) of the A1200.

Play one of the included 25 classic Amiga games, selected from a simple to use carousel. Or side-load your own games via USB stick with full WHD Load support and an array of options to choose from. Plus save and resume your game at any time to help you finish those punishingly difficult classics.

The A500 Mini comes with the original style 2-button mouse and newly engineered 8-button precision gamepad, allowing you to choose your control method. To compliment the on-screen keyboard, you can plug in an external standard USB PC keyboard for additional functionality.

    OK,.....
    I'll make some assumptions here...
If your looking at this, you're probably in your mid 40s, you probably like vintage video games, you're more than likely in possession of a PC and you've probably got a bit of disposable income.

Get yourself a second-hand xbox series S (I paid £120 for mine), get it in developer mode, and load it up with retroarch. After a bit of YouTube education, this plus hundreds of other consoles will be available to you.

Even a Raspberry Pi 2 is powerful enough to emulate any version of the Amiga. So why bring out an Amiga 500 and not an Amiga 1200 mini. Given many of the best games on the Amiga require the AGA chipset.

*Edit* I didn't read the descriptive text for the ad before commenting "Featuring perfect emulation of not only the original A500 (OCS) and Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) of future revisions, but also the Advanced Graphics Architecture (AGA) of the A1200." (edited)

    Wot no Lemmings.

Where can you get the other games from?

I think I have some discs in an office drawer somewhere

I haven't got the link to hand (sorry) but there is a website that is easily found through Google that has pretty much all the Amiga games ready to download for this.

An exceptional game and genuinely still very good to play now. Unlike the vast majority of nostalgia games I have tried to play again... most are dreadful.

Not a great choice of games - blame licensing difficulties.

Given it supports AGA (and the included gamepad), surely an A1200 case* would have made more sense... or is that just me?

(* - close enough to A500 for recognition/nostalgia, compared to say the CD32 design).

I had the 500, bought the A500 HD, the A570 cd rom, i even installed a chip that piggy backed on top of the Amiga 7mhz cpu that doubled its speed to 14 mhz..........then i bought my first 386 25mhz pc, and i gave all that away like the dumb idiot i was. Lol

Jeeeeez everyone - do you realize how much this this would cost if retro games bought the license to every game you had a bit of nostalgia for? this thing would cost a small fortune. You want Sensi, James pond, Canon Fodder etc? - You can find them easily on the internet. Download the ADF file to a USB stick - and whack it in the back of this thing. Job done. You can stop whinging now.

I miss the 80s. We had the Batman pack Amiga 500, Amiga 600 and then Amiga 1200. Wonderful period.

That was my favourite. I didn't even bother trying to play the game I just went all out to murder their goal keeper and then it was just non stop goals from the other end of the pitch then on in.

This is really expensive! I'd imagine a lot of famous games have lots of licensing issues and would be hard or expensive to put on there so you'd have to find the disk image online to put on there

Well, what does a Pi4 cost these days? Add a case, psu, mouse, and gamepad, and this doesn't look so bad.

An android box with Launchbox/Emuelec/Batocera would save a few pounds (and offer far greater flexibility), but for many, the cost difference is worth paying to save time and hassle (and for added nostalgia).

Great mini console even if just used as a display piece (statue) alongside a NES / SNES mini. As for a games system i have found it quite temperamental as the emulator is super fussy getting some games like Space Harrier to work on normal speed, and others that just never boot.

The most likely time for that is when/ if they release a Maxi version. £29.99 would be an absolutely bargain price.
