Description
Italian WWII drama. A group of American soldiers are in the process of being shipped off to military prison for a variety of infractions, ranging from desertion to murder. While they are being transported, a German artillery attack hits the convoy, killing the MPs and enabling four of the prisoners to escape. The group decides their best bet is to head to neutral Switzerland, where they can avoid both the fighting and prison. As they make their way to what they think will be freedom, they end up volunteering for a commando mission to steal a V2 warhead for the French Underground.

    *spoiler*

An otherwise excellent war movie sadly ruined by the last act (nonsensical decision making and out-of-character about turns masquerading as *plot twists*) and Brad Pitt’s character - who seemed to be in a different movie - like he read it as an ‘Allo ‘Allo style comedy, acting as he though he’s never in any danger even when tied to a chair in front of man portrayed for the rest of the film as calculatingly ruthless.

Really spoilt the excellent performances of Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent, Daniel Brühl etc.

It's not the Quentin Tarantino film. At least the film shown in the deal isn't. The link goes to the Tarantino film though. (edited)
