It's worth adding to the description that this machine has autodose. I.e. a compartment that you fill with liquid detergent once and don't have to bother again for about 20 or so loads. No only is this really convenient but also efficient as the machine only uses what it needs. This is a very high end feature for washing machines.

We have this machine in the 9kg drum version and it's absolutely brilliant. This is a steal at this price. Fantastic deal.

It is a steal at this price but autodosing?

Ok if you can manual dose with powder as well, otherwise I'm out.

Couple of things to note with using Reliant - you don't get to choose when the item is delivered when ordering online. You need to contact them in advance if the schedule slot does not work for you (the time you have to do this is very limited) otherwise there is a charge for re-delivery and if you opt to cancel your order, there is a charge for that too.

I had this hassle with them but in the end they agreed to waive the re-delivery fee (but it was a hassle and there was nothing I could have done differently).

ive had the machine purchased from reliant for about a month now. I love the machine. It washes much better than my my previous zanussi (which was a very good machine which lasted over 22 years).

The first time it was delivered it arrived smashed. That was returned and the replacement has been fabulous. It is very easy to install. you can ignore the auto-dosing if you dont want to use the facility - just put the amount of detergent you want. I use washing powder as it works out cheaper and is more enviornment friendly than liquid..

There is no washing machine you can buy at this price that come close to this for value.

you can do a quick wash in 14 minutes - a 39 minute one or more standard length washes. (edited)

Ordered this one earlier from Samsung, via the student portal. Not sure which is better? (edited)

If you have purchased the samsung. then they are equivalent to each other - they are the two best machines at this price - there are better washing machines but they cost a lot more - ie Miele

If you are yet to decide, the LG is overall the better machine. There are reports of reliability issues with the Samsung machines.

I've got a similar LG. I don't feel that it washes quite as well as my old Bosch, but could be mistaken.

I had an issue with the door lock failing after about 13 months. LG agreed a warranty repair, it took a week for the guy to come out to diagnose fault, another week for LG approval of repair, 1 week to get part and have it fitted, only to find that another part was needed, this took about another month using the same process. Apparently, I was lucky as LG outsource related to two companies, I had the faster one of the two. Trustpilot is full of reviews of people waiting 3 to 6 months for repairs (edited)

Seems a good looking machine with what it does. Shame it slightly too big for my space.

I got caught out with the size info of my freestanding Samsung washing machine, and wouldn’t fit under my deep kitchen counter behind the doors.

Turns out it’s common for the size info to reflect the footprint size of washer, rather than overall dimensions when the front curves out plus the door. Strange. I wouldn’t expect a given fridge dimensions to turn out to be minus the door

Sorry but IMHO LG are terrible for washers/washer dryers we had two of the 10.5kg washer dryers replaced both with the same issue, which was water coming back into the auto dose compartment. The lids for the auto dose don’t seal properly.

Replaces with a Bosch series 8 far superior machine

Ecobubble is still exclusive to Samsung I guess with no plans to licence it otherwise I might have considered alternate manufacturers.

Lol. 'Ecobubble' is just marketing rubbish. All high end washing machines have this but just call it something else. Or in some cases don't call it anything. All that matters is how a machine cleans. It's not as if Samsung's clean better at lower temperatures than any other top brand.

Is it normal to find residue of water in the drum, rubber seal, and outlet hose in a brand new washing machine? I just received my Samsung washing machine, and it has water residue. Looks like they sent out used repackaged machine.
    fiqqer's avatar
    fiqqer
no its not normal - it should come factory sealed. water means someone has returned it after using it. It may have been sent back for diagnosis, they tested it and found it ok. Still they should have at least dried it and old sold it as refurbished.

Received mine yesterday and it was heavily damaged, clearly dropped at some point and completely caved in on one of the corners underneath. No more in stock , wanted an extra £100 for a similar model as no others are on offer. Reliant were useless I had to chase them twice yesterday and again this morning and ask to speak to a manager to get the refund sorted. Would never use them again.
Another week or so without a washing machine while waiting for the refund

Same thing with me - waited 2 weeks for the replacement, but it has been worth it. Unlike you they dealt with my complaint promptly. Thankfully they still had stock at that stage as everyone else was selling it for £350 more.
