Great deal on a fantastic watch.

This watch shape is nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Samurai’ – because of its angular shaped design which looks as if it were sliced by a Japanese Samurai sword. It features a ceramic black bezel and a 3D press pattern dial.

Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards

A moot point I know, but I would suggest that the Samurai nickname came from the perceived sword shaped hands (or hand). From there someone linked sword to Samurai and the name was born. (edited)

I got this recently for £336 and sent it back because the quality was disappointing to say the least.

Spot on I had one too. Cannot believe seiko are demanding such prices for sub par watches now with little to no quality control. At lower prices it was worth risking.

I recall many years ago buying the original in titanium, I paid £99 for a used as new. Just can no longer see seiko as a budget good value watch.

The aliexpress watches using the Seiko movements are getting cheaper just to show how dismally consumers are treated in the UK

You get zero customer support with those companies though, in case something happens you are on your own.

But I guess there is always a trade off.

Bought this in Florida from a Seiko dealer for £215.00 inc tax. Its a nice watch but the timekeeping and quality are quite poor. Looks really nice.

You are fortunate really, £215 is probably the top end of what this watch should be, there are many that will pay many many hundreds of pounds for a watch fitted with the naff 4R movement that is fitted in these watches.

I bought this at a great price of £336 last year but I’d really like the blue faced version! Preferably for less than £350!
