A fan favourite with watch collectors around the world. The name “Seiko 5” derives from its five key attributes, which Seiko promised to include in every watch that belonged to the family. Enhanced by a deep blue dial and with day/date feature this model proves itself as a stylish and practical companion. Powered by the Seiko 7S26 movement, you can count on this Japanese-made watch to never let you down.

Agree it's a lottery on the condition you get, had about 20 and maybe 15 went back, poor

Only for those with small wrists

36mm was normal for men's wrists, it's only recently the trend for dinner plate watches was fashionable and it's going away again (edited)

Slippery slope, these. There is something special about an automatic watch.

At this price you can enjoy taking the back off and trying to adjust it to keep closer time. You could be a minute or two a day out with this one, but it's still a marvel given that it's entirely mechanical - springs and cogs that store your movement and give it back in tiny measured doses. Wonderful.

And it's a perfect size for me (being 6ft 4, and 100kg). Giant watches are not my thing either, they look ridiculous in my eyes. They are only that big so you can see them properly on the wrists of the sportsmen paid to wear them in the post-event press conference.

Good price given the current economy

"...you can count on this Japanese-made watch to never let you down." Now that is a very bold claim!

Nice looking watch with the mini '5's on the dial (not to everyone's liking of course).

At 37mm the watch is a little on the small size for my average sized wrist (prefer 40/41mm ish) and, like most cheaper Seiko 5s, the bracelet is rubbish. (edited)

Thanks. Paid £79.20 as key worker discount (or student discount) works on the item.

Decent watch at a decent price what could possibly go wrong other than the very humble 7S26 movement
