Admittedly a good discount on RRP. I wouldn't buy them myself at this price. My son has a pair and although they have a carbon plate the EVA foam is not responsive - it's very much been surpassed by more modern midsoles. If you do get them, don't think you're getting anything like a Vaporfly shoe. For that you'd want the Rocket X V2 (which is certainly not £75).

If I was after a race shoe at this sort of price I'd hunt down a pair of PUMA deviate nitro elite.

Would the puma be good for someone that has wide feet and wants to do a lot of walking ( 3/4 hours a day ) ? Thank you

I've been wearing them as a 10k and half marathon race shoe for about 6 months. I really like them and have picked up fab times in both distances with them. Wiggle currently have UK size 12.5 for £56 with free P&P. wiggle.co.uk/hok…s-2

You don't buy Hoka shoes to look good. You buy them to run in.

These feel firm like the Carbon X 2 due to the EVA foam used. Decent for faster training. But I much prefer Mizuno Wave Rebellion, which can be bought pretty cheap too. Pebax foam and a more aggressive plate makes them faster. As mentioned, Puma Deviate Nitro Elite are a good alternative. They feel similar, but with more softness/bounce. (edited)

It's worth pointing out that Hoka size about a 1/2 smaller than many other brands, so go up around half a size. (edited)
