Sounds good, where do I find the promotion and how do I sign up?

You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. Eligible sellers will receive an email with the RSVP link to the offer. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy.

For transactions via managed payments, you may be subject to International fees.

The number of listings eligible under this promotion may be less where seller restrictions apply. Click here to learn more about selling allowances.

Who can take part?

  • This Promotion is open to all registered Private Sellers who (a) have been invited to take part, (b) are registered to managed payments, and (c) have actively opted in (“Eligible Sellers”). If you have not registered for managed payments you will be prompted to update your details after you opt-in to the Promotion.
  • Participation is linked to the seller's account and is not transferable.
  • Eligible Sellers’ accounts must meet eBay minimum seller performance standards.
  • Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller standards dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. The seller standards dashboard is available to all sellers here.
  • If you registered after 15 March 2011 or haven't listed any items for a while, you may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of £650 per month, whichever is reached first. You may be able to increase this allowance by providing additional verification.
  • An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts.
  • If an item that is eligible for the promotion had previously closed without a successful sale and is re-listed during the promotion period, it will form a part of the 100 listings limit of the promotion.
  • You will not receive a refund of your original insertion fee if the item sells.
  • Listings do not have to successfully sell during the promotional period to be eligible.
  • If an item qualifies for the promotion and when the item sells, the invoice will indicate the fee including the discount. Please note: if the item does not sell the first time and if you relist it after the promotional period or if it is automatically relisted during the promotional period, standard final value fees will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.
  • Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good 'Till Cancelled function will be charged.
  • Only single quantity listings are eligible.
  • For items listed in 2 or more categories, only the insertion fee for the first category is included. Standard insertion fees will be charged for listing the same item for each additional category, according to the eBay fees policy.
  • Free listings in this promotion do not count towards your monthly 1000 free listings.
  • Your first listing period may vary and is dependent on the listing format you choose (e.g. – auction-style vs buy-it-now), the duration of the listing you choose and the listing experience you use. The first listing period will be considered to have been ended when the listing you create first renews or relists.

Is there a current 70% one ( Not an old or expired 70% deal ) ?

Which is better, the 80% of final value fees or this?

It depends how much you want for your product. Top of my head, without doing the Maths, for £100 you'll pay about £3 with 80% off, £4 with 70% off, vs £1 when you use £1 FVF fee. Round number, 70% off is better when your product sells at under £20, and 80% is better when your product sells at under £25.

    Edit: you can use this

    Finally. Been accepted!

To confirm. Does the item need to sell before 24-Apr-2023 23:59:59? Or can I list on 21st for 7 days etc and still be counted for this offer?
    sheffield788's avatar
    sheffield788 Author
You need to list it within the period specified in the T&C. In this case 21st to 24th I think. It does not need to sell before 24th. I usually list on Sundays at about 7PM, apparently that's the best time when people look. I list it for 7 days.

I sure feel envious of all the sellers that get this £1 FVF offer every couple of weeks

This is the second time I've tried recently, I've not sold anything for years. Last time out, none of the 70% 80% or £1 fvf codes worked, all had "expired". This time, 80% didn't work, but this one did.

Best offer for me as.ive got some serious electronics I want to shift!

I'm being thick I'm sure, but which is better for me 80%, 70% or £1 if I list a watch that sells for £4000 - I'm genuinely not sure - DOH!

This by an absolute million miles.

You’d pay a quid in fees with this deal on a £4k watch.

You’d pay around £103 with 80% off FVF.

Here’s a link, in case you’d like to check yourself: ebayfeescalculator.com/uk-…or/

(Note that selling a £4k watch will almost certainly clash with your seller limits so check to see what you can and can’t sell in your seller hub on eBay) (edited)

Not sure why it's every couple of weeks with these promos. They should just do a competitive listing deal permanently with a set percentage instead of fobbing some sellers off and not others.

The 80% went really hot, so the offer is very visible. When such a deal is posted, I always check to see if the £1 FVF is live, as I prefer this one. 70,80% and £1 FVF usually go live at the same time.

How long do you have to be a member for before you start to get these things? I've had an account for a month or so now. Sold a few things including a £700 laptop, purchased a couple of things. Made sure my items were posted on time etc.

Sometimes it seems to be about feedback & your engagement/use of ebay - ie I didn't get any offer this week as I've a few items to leave feedback on still from weeks back due to the delivery being international so taking a while (and in the past this seems to have stopped me getting sale offers until these are done... assuming its maybe a timing thing if too long passes and you haven't done it)

Also assuming you paid full fees on selling items (or avoided enough fee due to discount), maybe it doesn't flag you as someone they need to 'incentivise' back to using their platform - from experience, selling a few things lowers the type of offer you receive from their next fortnightly or so offer, then it gradually ticks back up. As I don't sell unless its 80% off fees or better yet £1 max, i usually have to wait a couple of these offer cycles until it goes back up.

Not certain on these - just my best guess at how they select for these offers as clearly it will be decided using some sort of algorithm that measures the offers and their use. (edited)

It is your right to end it if you didn't get any bids. You can relist it off course using the promotion, but make sure you use it when the promotion is in place, not today.

Unfortunately it fails - invitation only. I had been getting invitations every fortnight but it's now been 8 weeks since I've had one and still unable to list without it. The worst time with the cost of living crisis for eBay to withhold invitations!

It would be better for eBay and us if they just reverted back to the old FVF of 5.25% and not bother with these offers. The problem with these offers is that competition is rife and you won't get the price you're after with most items.
    sheffield788's avatar

I think with these offers, they attract the non regular sellers to sell. They certainly convinced me.

Hey I wonder if anyone can help me. I've accepted the offer and listed an item, but my available listings is still saying 100 and hasn't gone down?

Is this normal or should it go down instantly after listing?

I'd give it a few minutes and recheck.

I was very impatient this week with this. I had 45 items ready to go, when I listed them the number didn't update, so I ended them and relisted them. The number then updated to say I'd listed 90 and had 10 left. Very frustrating considering I had quite a bit more to list!
