Located in the serene seaside town of Minehead, our resort is nestled in the beautiful hilly moors of Exmoor in Somerset, neighbouring a gorgeous golden sandy beach.

As the largest of our three resorts, Minehead is the ideal location for families wanting to embrace everything that's brilliant about the Great British seaside (including the unpredictable weather!) with acres of resort to roam and nearly one mile of beach on our doorstep.

Home to our iconic chalets and seafront apartments, you'll find everything you need to make your break special at Minehead. There are delicious restaurants, a vintage fairground, the Skyline Pavilion where you'll find our entertainment, plus a charming Chapel in our grounds, too!

If you fancy doing a little exploring outside of our resort, Minehead has so much to offer. In proximity to Exmoor National Park, you'll find nature trails and walking paths with lovely views. Dunster Castle is nearby, with the West Somerset Railway open for a nostalgic trip on the steam train.

For a place to stay at the end of the day, these great-value rooms are ideal for those wanting a base with a simple interior, complete with beds and a bath.

Included in your room:
  • One or two bedrooms with double and twin beds
  • Bathroom with bath
  • All rooms come with a TV in the master bedroom, tea and coffee making facilities and free Essential WiFi. Towels and daily housekeeping are not included
  • Rooms are located on the ground floor

Accessible accommodation: If you're looking for disabled or adapted accommodation, please give us a call on 0330 100 9334 so one of our team can listen to your individual needs and help you plan your holiday.

I wouldn't go to Minehead Butlins even if they paid me... Awfully run down and shabby.

I think it's more for the nostalgia. When I was young Butlins holiday camp was amazing. I went once for a week (not sure how my mum and dad afforded it) it was magical as a 10 year old. This was 1984 and I still think about that holiday to this day. Everything was free., it seemed. I won't hear a bad word about Butlins. Every other summer we went as daytrippers and had to leave late afternoon. Hot deal and cut Butlins some slack.

Excellent price, heat added for that.
But we've just checked in to a "comfort" apartment there this evening and it is very, very dirty. No attempt at all has been made to clean anything - floors not even swept let alone cleaned, kitchenette filthy, toilet covered in urine splashes and flecks of excrement, basin in scum and toothpaste.
If you're happy to spend time cleaning everything or just plan to spend the holiday drunk it'd be a great deal.

Take pics, send complaints, report it immediately. I got a substantial refund when we went last year and changed to a cleaner apartment

We’ve been to Butlins Minehead a few times and I have to say it is just perfect for families. The facilities are great (fairground, soft play, sports courts, outdoor play etc) for just keeping busy during the day.

With two kids under 8, they love the entertainment too and if it keeps them quiet, that’s all we care about.

We have had one or two issues with accommodation (rooms smelling of smoke and people painting rooms as we arrived ) but it didn’t overshadow the stay.

We’ve never been high season so what we paid was a bargain…peak prices though would probably change my view I guess.

Ridiculously cheap price this. Yes not glamorous but can be a great base to explore a beautiful part of the country. And then have a few drinks and be able to walk home.

We've got a school closure on Tuesday for to teacher strikes so we could get two days of entertainment for the four of us for less than one person at a theme park, and my 3 and 6yr old would probably prefer it! Shame I've already booked something for the school closure day. Thanks anyway.

Wow, this is a great price. Looking at the Google/Tripadvisor reviews your expectations need to be rock bottom for the cleanliness and room itself, but Minehead itself is a nice little place to spend a few days.

Apparently this hasn't changed for 40 years as partners mum said it was bad when she was a child and she's in her 50s..

Went in April holidays. Perfer bognor personally but butlins in general is good value in my opinion loads of stuff to do for the family. Our Accommodation wasn't up to much at minehead but it was just a bed for the night.we were room only and ate onsite.

Ok I've never been to this particular place, but stayed at various others and Pontins. I think the first thing to remember is the price, whatever way you price it down, per night, pppn or £45, it's cheap.

Now the correct thing to think is, "£45 that must be at the lower end of the holiday scale" but people don't seem to be able to. It'll no doubt attract poor people looking for a fun weekend, but so what?

Your kids will love it, the rides, entertainment and so forth. They won't notice, it's a bit rundown, but what do you expect for £45.

I went to Pontins at Brean Sands, £70 during half term for four nights. I expected the worst from tripadvisor reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were cheerful and friendly, chalet was a bit dated but clean.

At the end of the day it's a chalet holiday, I grew up on these (when little better existed), watch hi-di-hi if you don't know what one is.

Or pay a lot more and go somewhere more upmarket

Have you not realised by now that it is not welcomed by the locals.............

A mate p mine went to a Butlins back on the day. He said it had a huge grey wall around it and felt like a prison camp. That was back in the day mind!

good entertainment overall; but lot of disappointments. I will never go back to Butlins after they ruined our family holiday this Feb. Fire alarm was not attended in our apartment for more than 30 minutes until I went to tell them that there is alarm! Our apartment was flooded and they kept us in flooded room for 18 hours overnight without single apology from the staff. No one really listens at Butlins, I wrote a letter to them about our disappointment and as I expected no response. I paid the top price for our holiday and not the discounted.

We went last year with 2 kids and the in laws and stayed in a 'silver apartment'

I think we paid about £140 between 4 adults for Monday to Friday.

There is lots to do however the cheap prices are a problem because they remove the barrier to entry for what I can only describe as the lowliest of society.

By that I mean the apartment underneath us was filled with single teenage mothers who smoked cannabis all week with the smell wafting up the stairs, and screaming blue murder down the phone at 3am. The kids allowed to run riot around the stairs at all hours.

The rumours you've heard are true, it's an absolute chav fest.

Which is a shame really because there are genuinely lots of family friendly and fun things going on. (edited)

I always found one of the biggest problems at Butlins when we had young children, was changing the names of the different types of accommodation every year (it seemed so), so making it difficult to compare prices or even book the correct category.
Other than that, it served it's purpose for a few years, and going there protected other air passengers off on their foreign hols from having to put up with small children.
