20 G's for an underpowered heap of junk and people still think it's a bargain. What a time to be alive. (edited)

111bhp, 1.73t weight...anyone have one of these with this engine and can advise on performance ?

Not sure you need anyone who owns one to advise on performance.....(Kerb weight is actually 1264kg)

63bhp per ton or 87bhp per ton on kerb weight, but either way its woefully underpowered with a 0-60 of 12.1 seconds.

Picture shows new electric model plus I am not sure if it's worth paying extra over £2k to get automatic (1.5 manual is below £18K)

I have a ZS in the exclusive trim. Really didn't like it at first, but after 12 months I have grown to like it. Paid 15.6k brand new in March last year as they give discount to people working in local government. Last time I checked it was valued at over 16k on we buy any car which is mad to say i have had it 14 months. I think the 7 year warranty is a bit of a con as you only get the 7 years of it is serviced with them, and the 2, 4 and 6 year service cost over £400!

The ZS range, when it launched in 2017, started at £12,500 and I very nearly bought one there and then. Only the absurdly low towing limit (circa 500-750Kg) stopped me (a diesel Dacia Duster was only a little more and could pull at least a ton). I'm amazed how expensive it is now, along with the Dacia range and most other vehicles - a far cry from the under-£6K Sandero when it launched.

Whoopee, another car thread to remind me of the insane price of cars, even second hand things are really quite silly at the mo, not to dis the OP but can any car really be called a hot deal at present?

yours sincerely, Mr Grumpy (owner of bashed up old banger - waiting for cars to drop in price)

Or "keep" your wealth in a bank, let them lend it out and when you take it out it will buy you 11% less a year at least.

Nobody has mentioned warp factor or willy waving. Just stating the obvious that this isn't really quick enough in 2023.

All car prices will begin to drop very soon. You could buy Tesla for 20k next year or so.

Good luck if you think they will drop to anything like that. Prices will always be around this price now thanks to Brexit, Ukraine and Covid.

Agree about the Sandero. I was lucky enough to order one beginning of 2022. Bi-fuel (LPG) from the factory. Shortly after placing the order the prices shot up! Days of cheap motoring gone forever...but we still need to trawl the market to suit our need and budget.

This is as quick as my Peugeot 5008 1.5 diesel auto. People crying about slip roads obviously can’t drive, therefore shouldn’t get one. (edited)

It matters? I can't see what my car looks like when I'm driving it. When I'm not driving it, I don't spend time looking at it.

Why have cars gone up like 40% in a few years. I know the answer is inflation but it’s depressing. Me and my wife both need new cars but we were putting it off due to soaring prices during covid. I kept saying “don’t worry it’ll all blow over”. It hasn’t…

Don't buy a brand new one.
Let some other sucker take the hit for you.
This is how it works now. It makes prudent sense.
