A multifunctional air conditioning unit, from HOMCOM: it cools, dehumidifies and ventilates. It also has a sleep mode (quiet) too, with a 24-hour timer, making it suitable for night-time use. Controlled by both an App and remote, it's very easy to use, even if you're far away.

Set the temperature between 16-30℃ - easy to pick a temperature most comfortable for you. Complete with the self-evaporating system, which helps reduce the amount of times you need to empty the tank.

9000btu is only going to cool a well sealed smallish room, no good for something like a living room unless it’s small.

From personal experience, a similar 9,000 BTU unit was more than enough to cool a decent sized room (7m x 4m) from 28*C to 18*C in a couple of hours and that was with the door to the outside open 5" to get the exhaust pipe out.

    How are they on energy?

Max power output is 1kW. Based on an average tariff you're looking at around 30p per hour to run on max setting.

No idea what the other guy is talking about on this thread

Anyone know of one which will work with pull out windows?

Polystyrene insulation board, thermal insulation foil, duct tape, velcro, then cut a hole for the vent.

For anyone who ordered this yesterday, check your ebay account. I just got a note saying my order had been cancelled as they don't have the stock to fulfill all the orders placed considering they had to list the amount of available items themselves on the ebay listing, seems incredibly poor!

I got rid of 2 air conditioners cos they were so expensive to run and a pain for having the tube go out of the window, if i decide to get another aircon it will be the wall mounted air conditioner.

9000 BTU will barely blow you dry, never mind blow you down.

Do these work? I bought one from screwfix last summer and couldn't feel much of a difference in the room temperature
    Nib1337's avatar
    Nib1337
What was the BTU of the screwfix unit? Anything below 9k BTU will struggle to cool a medium sized room
