Not to be confused with the earlier version of the Duet. This has the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2, which delivers an Octane score of 25k, whereas the older Duet has the MTK8183 which only scores 10k.

Love my larger Duet 5, so hot from me. (A Duet 5 at this price would be really hot as it's got an OLED screen vs the LCD on here.) Not great that both Duet 3 and 5 don't have a headphone jack, but at least there is a full service USB-C on both sides. (edited)

When I'm on a train, watching a movie on my bright OLED screen, with 14 hours battery life remaining, yes I'm laughing at the others having to settle for LCD, and poor battery life, having paid significantly more than I paid for my Chromebook Duet 5.

Does the 8GB model come paired with the stylus?

I researched my own question and I believe it should for anyone else wondering

Bit of a question for the mods. Can all future Chromebook deals stats the AUP as it's essential for Chromebook please?

For basic use, brilliant devices. All family on Chromebook now. Excellent battery life. Again will wait for AUP date to be posted before voting hot. (edited)

    For this deal it's 2029.

I have this device and find it very sluggish. Plus the battery drains extremely fast when it's left in standby mode - 1.5 days and it's drained. I wouldn't buy it again.

That's interesting Manonthemon. I can't say I share the same experience with my Duet 5, (and it's the same for my Mrs who also has a Duet 5.) If you are still within your warranty period, I'd be talking to Lenovo.

Does the device get hot anywhere when in standby? If you run Octane, what score do you get? (edited)

Is this the same as the Duet 3 in Argos for £299 here: Argos

Asking as I have some Vouchers to use.

Yes it is! Both same price as one another and it looks like the 8GB model also includes the stylus

Have had one of the smaller versions for a while: great little device.
Though not sure about the longevity of the ribbon connector - my keyboard no longer works…

This one looks like it has magnetic connection no ribbon cable.

How's the display and audio compared to an ipad /air/pro?
    Masteryates's avatar
    Masteryates
On this Duet 3, display may be similar to ipad etc, but audio won't nearly be as good. If you want a tablet, don't buy this. If you want a productive device and don't want to pay the apple tax, or lug around a Windows laptop, this might be for you.

Do you get full access to the play store with these or are the apps restricted so you only get a subset of the mobile apps? e.g. will I get notifications for the ring doorbell app?

I've watched a few reviews online (these were from release so things may have changed). The reviews suggest that majority on play store apps work fine, there are a few exclusions.

The biggest exclusion was MS Office, the reviews indicated that this is in favour of web based access. (This may now have changed though). I think there was another being an Adobe app (but wasn't paying attention as this isn't hugely important to me)

Looking for something similar to replace an Asus C101PA, anyone know of similar but new(er)? Definitely want a 'flip' design, ultraportable, decent screen brightness and wifi. (edited)

Shows as £399 for me - which is a shame as I was looking for something similar
