Thanks, this looks great. Eldest is starting secondary school in September and will need something to do her homework on (Google Classroom). Have been looking at Chromebooks but, for similar money, I'm wondering if this Windows laptop would be better, given I can also use it to WFH, etc.

As a teacher who uses Google Classroom daily...... Chromebooks are good for Google Classroom, but I'd go for the laptop instead as it offers more versatility.

Laptop does everything a Chromebook does + more. That said the Chromebook is more simple to use and is what I have for my students in class as they start up really quickly and don't have as many distractions on them as a laptop. My own daughter wants a Chromebook to replace her aging laptop.

While my students use Chromebooks, I use PC and laptop for all my work on Google Classroom.

If you are in Scotland, your daughter will have access to free downloads of MS Office through Glow.

Space wise, it's a wee bit 'limiting', sorry ...

But, price wise though, it's actually not that bad - for what it is, anyway (eg. a half decent touchscreen laptop, from a reputable brand, etc). :-D

Interesting. Can you take out the small SSD, clone it to a larger SSD, and put it back in?

I'd like to think so. :-)
