Will bite when they offer 'Buy 3 Cookies, Get a Free Footlong' (edited)

Avoid! The footlong is actually less than a foot! Usually between 11.5 and 11.7 inches. Also my local doesn't put enough filling.

7.50 for a foot long where i live. such a joke, so a couple cookies doesnt make it worth for me.. 5 years ago they often did a footlong, a drink & cookie for a fiver. voted cold. (edited)

I'm not sure if you know about inflation.
5 years ago, interest rates were 0.5% and today its sitting at 3.5%.
Just past 12 months, average food prices around the UK have risen by 11.9% or even more - can you imagine comparing prices 5 years ago?
Supply chains are still struggling to handle pre-pandemic demand. Increased inventory shortages mean slower deliveries. This leads to supply and demand challenges, where there is less supply of the goods people want (and need) coupled with their increasing demand, putting upward pressure on higher priced goods.
A lot has happened in the past 5 years that has affected prices to go up. Given the current situations, it's still not a bad deal.

Buy a small, item from Subway a day before you buy the footlong. You will then qualify for double points on the footlong order

Yep and if you visit after 5pm you get triple points.

Where's the best place to complain about this promo? My 'local' is clearly on the list of participating stores, but refused to provide me with the free cookies because apparently 'they aren't included in the promo'.. pretty sure they just mugged me off because they didn't wanna give me free stuff

I'd have shown them the list of shops taking part. Then if they refused tell them you don't want the footlong. My local is taking part in this offer but they didn't take part in the Christmas offers. For what it costs them to make the cookies. You'd think they'd be happy to take part if it increases footlong sales. (edited)

Anyone got this when ordering ahead on the app? Doesn't seem to add it into the basket for you or take the money off when you add the cookies in yourself
    Mooney_70's avatar
I've not tried it myself but it sounds like it won't let you do it. Make sure your shop is taking part in the offer. Then ask them for the cookies when you collect your order. The app is pretty poor as it doesn't let you redeem your points against orders either. That's a feature they need to add imo. If your ordering for collection it should be easy enough to do.
