sorted byThese are pouch Vs cell based batteries. They come with a 3 year warranty Vs normal 1 year warranty.
But they have limited voltage drop which makes them work almost as good as a 5ah battery (but obviously only 1.7ah capacity).
The batteries are also lighter.
Obviously you are paying a huge premium for these features so not targeted at the diyer, rather the professional who makes use of them. E.g. As someone on a ladder like a roofer, anything that reduces size and weight without losing power is a great benefit.
These batteries work great with the smaller tools like dcd805 (edited)
