Perfect cappuccinos whenever you want
Enjoy great coffees with the Automatic Cappuccino System. Combining steam, air and milk, it makes a rich and creamy froth for delicious cappuccinos every time. And after each beverage, the carafe cleans itself too. So, you can wave goodbye to wiping it down all the time and can simply relax with a hot mug.

Milk menu
If you love rich lattes and frothy cappuccinos, then you can happily indulge your inner barista with this coffee machine from De’Longhi. It has a specialised milk menu to offer a wider selection of drink options – from plain hot milk to flavoursome espresso macchiato. There’s an additional ‘My Milk’ option too that lets you customise the amount added to your coffee, so you can enjoy your drink, your way.

Your coffee your way
Having your coffee just how you like it is easy. Using the simple settings you can change the strength of your drink, and the temperature of the water. This means you’ll always enjoy a drink exactly how you want it, whether it’s a caffeine kick in the morning or a gentler coffee to unwind after work.

Easy to clean
This appliance has automatic cleaning for the milk wand, making it easier to maintain. Simply select the right setting on the froth regulating dial, and all parts that come into contact with milk are washed. This keeps everything fresh and hygienic, so no congealed milk will ever ruin your coffee.

Making cleaning a breeze
This appliance has removable parts, which makes them much easier to clean. The brewing unit and drip tray simply slide out, so they can be rinsed off under the tap. So there’s no forcing a dishcloth into awkward nooks and crannies to keep it sparkling.

Choose your perfect blend
Whatever your favourite blend, this machine can handle it. It works with fresh whole beans, or pre-ground coffee. So whether it’s a quick fix from the supermarket or you’ve ordered a particular bean online, you’ll get the perfect drink every time.

More space for your coffee
Make more coffee for your friends with the large bean container. It can hold up to 400 grams, meaning there’s always enough for surprise visits. There’s also a handy cover, which keeps the beans fresh and full of flavour. So, you won’t have to top up the machine every time you use it, and your drinks will always taste amazing.

Features

  • Compatible with coffee beans or ground coffee
  • Save the settings for your favourite drinks
  • Holds up to 400g of coffee beans
  • Create indulgent creamy drinks at the touch of a button
  • Removable drip tray for easy cleaning

Have this exact model. 4 years, 16,000 coffees in and hasn't skipped a beat.

Keep a jug of filtered water nearby... Cheaper than using Delonghi's own reservoir water filters.

You can also get delonghi compatible ones for about £4 a go (when buying 6) at Amazon. (edited)

Hi Pal - does this do frothy milk on it's own? Can't see from the reviews it does so wanted to ask a user - basically babycino's for kids?

Worth pointing out that the AO five star membership is less than the extra discount it gives so probably worth paying for it.

Bought this machine as a gift in November 2017 for £421 (on offer) so this is a great price! Amazon appears to have price-matched.

Awful machine, returned it in the end and bought a Phillips 5400 in the end.

How does this compare to the Sage and Siemens ones in terms of quality? Can it also do ground coffee?

I only have experience of this one so cannot compare to rivals. I can confirm it does ground coffee. It goes into the flap just forward of the main bean hopper. Though it can only take one cup worth at a time of ground - it simply bypasses the grinder.

Great machine. We have the TOP version that sits above this but is not a lot different:
    1. The metal on the top of the TOP is a cup warmer, but putting the rinse water into the mug on power-on is more effective.
    2. The TOP came with both the LatteCrema milk tank/frother (as this one does) and the manual milk wand for frothing a jug of milk. We just use the LatteCrema.
    3. Our TOP was white with differences to the button layout and possibly one more program.

Therefore, our use would be unaffected if we had this model. We are very happy with the coffee it produces.

Also worth noting that these should not be though of as £900 machines. The price seems to yoyo. For those wanting the lowest price, Delonghi direct on eBay do refurb versions and tend to participate in many of the recurring specific seller discounts and do not hike their prices beforehand (and is where ours was from a few years ago). The refurb of this model would be £419.99, or £356.99 with the current 15% off code, except they have currently run out.

Though for £399, I think the brand new of this deal with extra year of warranty of this AO deal would be better. The refurbs are not best packaged (original box, or same size, but no polystyrene so floats about in the box and first one arrived damaged).

I'm looking for a bean to cup machine like this or the Siemens but with WiFi (ideally Alexa integration) and hopefully also the ability to track how much coffee I drink. Any suggestions?

lol, why would you need wifi? or milk will travel it self from fridge to the coffe machine?:))) or you have magic milk that dont need to be stored in fridge?:)
