I have had my Asda kettle for 5 years and still as good as new
I had a 3000w kettle once but found it too noisy and sent it back.

I've had this exact one for about a year. Still working great, fast to boil. No issues

I don't buy kettles for the ambiance personally, I buy them to boil water and the higher the watts means the faster it can do that.

Each to their own though
OK, but hoped it would boil faster.
I’ve had this for a month and would definitely buy again given value for money. Note some Asda reviewers complain that the lid doesnt open far enough. Clearly they never read the instruction leaflet.... you can pop open the lid with the normal button. If you need it opened further you can manually open the lid so it is vertical - this is the official instruction and it works.

Not one to brag or anything but I managed to work out how to open the lid even without the instructions
