    Got 50 hours on this game now and haven't done a main story line quest for at least 10 hours, soo much to do around the map keep getting carried away clearing out bandit camps, merlin trials etc... Then every time i think ill go do story next i find something else interesting.
    Today im sticking to my plans, need it finished before zelda comes (edited)

    Too much collectible stuff just thrown in. I’ve done every quest and every side quest and gave up. I’m not flying around for the other 70 Merlin tasks especially the same ones over and over. End game is repetitive. 
    upgrading items is pointless. 
    Some mounts were pointless too. 
    a lot of filler really. 

    to platinum it you need every single little thing and it’s not even enjoyable getting them all.
