About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Good price for these. They won't last like a leather hiking boot under heavy use but if you appreciate hoka comfort and don't want chunky boots these are great for fast paced hikes, scrambles and surprising OK to run in at slow mountain pace. There's usually a 10% discount code to be found at sportshoes without too much difficulty.

Hoka Speedgoat Mid 2 GORE-TEX Walking Boots
This shoe is designed to attack all breeds of technical trail with this bold, fully redesigned iteration, Hoka have improved the fit, stability, and durability. The mid version of the Speedgoat 2 can be used as a trail runner or a walking boot, keeping you firmly in charge no matter what is thrown at you. A durable and waterproof GORE-TEX membrane will keep you dry and comfortable in any conditions.
GORE-TEX Upper
Surrounnding the upper of the Speedgoat Mid 2 is a GORE-TEX membrane which will provide you with exceptional comfort. This will be because all moisture is locked out and prevented from entering. In addition to this, the durable membrane will still allow air to flow in and out of it to provide you with exceptional breathability and ventilation over a long period of time. The upper uses an overlay Cage that is strategically placed across the midfoot. This feature helps to lock the foot down in the shoe to keep it securely in place and to offer a stable and supportive fit. Open Mesh Panels have been placed across the shoes upper, allowing cool air to flow into the shoe at the same time as releasing warmer air, creating a cool and dry environment for the foot.
Additionally, A Reinforced Speedframe construction has been chosen for the Speedgoat 2 which allows the shoe to offer much-needed support to the foot and durability to the shoe, protecting both from possible damage that the shoe may encounter along the trail. A Pull Tab has been added to the heel of the shoe which will allow the wearer to put the shoe on and take it off quickly and smoothly while the Heel Collar and Tongue on this shoe are made with soft fabric and plush cushioning, allowing these key areas to sit against the skin smoothly and without causing discomfort. A high ankle sock sits gently on the ankle resulting in a gentle feel, whilst it also acts as an anti-debris net
EVA Midsole
EVA Foam has been chosen to construct the midsole of the SpeedGoat 2. This material was specifically chosen as it provides lightweight cushioning which helps to keep the wearer's feet as comfortable and supportive as possible. The light EVA is also ideal for this running shoe as it prevents the wearer from feeling weighed down and will keep the wearer feeling light and quick on their feet. Another type of foam used to create the midsole is CMEVA. This material helps the midsole to absorb impact in key areas of the shoe and helps to stabilise the foot to keep the wearer firmly on their feet.
Vibram MegaGrip Outsole
The Vibram MegaGrip that has been used to construct this outsole is a high-performance rubber compound that features unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. This also made it the perfect material for trail shoes that have been designed to tackle the toughest, most technical terrain. The Multidirectional lugs that are added across the outsole have been strategically placed to help the shoe to offer supreme grip on varied terrain.

sorted bySort of put me off going for boots that used Vibram
My current wet rock focused shoes are La Sportiva Cyklon's which use Frixion White, and whilst I've not put a tonne of miles into them they were pretty solid in damp (but not proper awful) Lake District condtions last time I was up there. Not that I'm pushing the Cyklon as an alternative to this, I don't know (yet) how well they'll handle a full days hiking. I've only used them for a half day hike, or 1-2 hour runs so far (plus a 50k ultra - but that was on the flat in muddy conditions so doesn't count.)
As an aside - boas...finally those middle-aged cappucino supping cyclists have contributed something meaningful to the world. The boa adjustment on the Cyklon's means you can get an absolutely perfect level of tightness if the shoe is an otherwise good fit. I really hope it gets wider adoption amongst trail shoe manufacturers. (edited)
