Not really, unless you're eating a whole box a day. Mostly wholegrain …Not really, unless you're eating a whole box a day. Mostly wholegrain cereals, barley, strawberries, and coconut. One portion is less than 10g of sugar.

Trouble is, one portion is literally 2 mouthfuls. Build up you fat reserves, you never know what's around the corner.

It’s not so much the ingredients themselves harming you, but more the impact they have on your hunger and the rest of your diet. Having 20g refined sugar (which is how much people will have with a realistic portion size) early in the morning is really not ideal. You’ll be hungry again and in no time.

Once a week as a treat cereal is OK but having this sort of cereal every day is going to leave you craving more sugar and crap throughout the day.

Real people eat porridge for breakfast, not these cereals made of pure sugar.

Great deal and Jordan's have now removed palm oil from all their cereals. "We have been aware for some time of the environmental impact associated with the use of palm oil and were among the first businesses in the UK to join the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Finding an alternative ingredient to replace palm oil, that has the same keeping properties, has been quite challenging but at the beginning of 2021 we removed palm oil across all our Jordans Cereal bars and all of our cereals". Anyone else buy a box of this and find it gone within a day? I probably have one bowl for breakfast then find myself eating it dry straight from the packet for the rest of the day.

Prepared with water and seasoned with salt?

Those cereals aren't pure salt, they're just hugely energy dense. 50g at the bottom of a bowl looks like nothing. The Carbs in them are as calorific as pure sugar, that's why 50g of cornflakes is as calorific as 50g of Frosties. (edited)

Muesli can be pretty good as well, as the sugar is not refined. But it’s hard to find decent Muesli in supermarkets.

But porridge is amazing really as you can find good oats everywhere, use pretty much any liquid you want, and make it to any consistency you like. A true superfood!

Is it wrong to want to try and make a bowl of porridge with tomato soup? Can't be any worse than the Scottish method. (edited)
