    There is a 27 inch version for £110, I'm assuming it is not great but for my 8 year olds first set up it should be fine right?

    Yep it's a great price for the spec. Only 1080p which will look pixelated on a 27" but fine for someone's first setup.

    There's also a 27" 144hz 1440p model for £170 which is actually the kind of spec you want for these consoles...

    Got this and it is perfectly OK. Nothing special but does the job for the price paid.
    Only issue I have so far is if you leave it on stand by the light flashes on the bottom and is pretty bright.
