1860s Kyo is plagued by widespread inequality, and one samurai will change the course of history in his search for justice. Take up the sword of Sakamoto Ryoma and venture to Kyoto to find your father’s killer, clear yourself of a framed murder, and restore your honor. In doing so, you will bring an end to the samurai era and forever change the future of Japan. Draw your blade, load your revolver, and join the revolution in this heated historical adventure that only the creators of Yakuza: Like a Dragon could produce.

Really hope this is a massive success so they can remake Kenzan (PS3) too

Last night I read 2 articles from the latest issue of Play Magazine, one about Ishin and one about Kenzan. Very interesting stuff and has made me excited about Ishin, despite only ever playing very little of the Yakuza games. Might make Ishin my first proper playthrough of the series.

The magazine talks about how Kenzan is unlikely to be remade for PS5 due to it being set in a red light district and having plot point where a child character works as an assistant to the courtesans. This kind of assistant would eventually become a courtesan themselves. It's historically accurate, but a bit controversial for Western tastes.

Is this one turn based or is it a action RPG, like the original games?
    Em-Pop's avatar
Action. It’s a remake of the original game previously only available on PlayStation.

I'm not 100% sure, but the previous game Yakuza Like A Dragon had a free PS5 upgrade

Worth mentioning this game will also be available on PC.

As big a fan of the Yakuza games as I am, I'll hold off as I know the price will drop like a stone after launch.
