    Unfortunately these models seem to have soldered RAM with no expansion slots, so you're stuck at 8GB...

    The 14” version of this hit £499 a couple of weeks ago. It’s not a bad laptop but has a few annoying compromises, most notably the 8GB fixed RAM, low TDP GPU and 60Hz display - at £499 you can overlook these somewhat, but at £649, I don’t think you can as there are better choices.

    I wonder how much it actually costs for them to solder an additional 8GB LPDDR4, surely no more than $20? When they do this it not only hinders the RAM capacity, but also the performance due to running in single channel.
