Digital also means you can hide it under a cupboard from your missus cos you won’t need to insert or eject games mine still thinks the games are built in to the smart tv

IMHO, don't pay extra, buy this version, cheaper games + keep your games forever.

Tbh, as someone who bought a digital series s not a disc series X. Having the dic version would have been useful concidering all of the games I can't play now but if you are just starting its probally not a bad idea to go for digital though you can save money on second hand games. I'd say pay 50-70£ more if you can get disc (which you currently can)

    All just personal preference though

Fair enough. Just seen people take an interest in the digit version recently 😁

Funny thing is I have a series x and have no games on disc.

I'm used to PC gaming, so all digital has been the way for me for well over a decade. The only benefit of physical media is the resale possibility. You don't even get the full game on the disc anymore so even that argument is gone. If they switch off the servers your disc games aren't working either. Plus you have to physically store them, and they can get damaged, stolen, and you have to physically put the disc into the machine to play the game like in the 80s, who's got time for that.

I would say the average person probably buys digital games directly from the Microsoft/PlayStation store from the console, which is far more expensive than buying physical. The only reason digital has been worth it for me is by using currency loopholes I learnt from this site. (edited)
